I had a great time in flying Dog. Marcel, the guy who works there is great! He took us to a concert. That was so much fun. I would recommand the jungle tour they are offering you. It's the one from Jairo. Oh and the scrambled ergs for breakfast are great.

A simple budget hostel. We booked a private room with bathroom twice (before and after our tour). The second room was way more cleaner and more luxe than the first one. Big hostel near the river. Really friendly English speaking staff which even helped us when we needed to go to the police station and file a report (not related... More

I stayed two nights here in a single room, with my very own bathroom and a hot water shower. These I consider luxuries here in the Selva. The place was clean, the people were nice and informative about tours and suggestions for eating, drinking and rabble rousing! I liked the place but moved to a slightly cheaper hostel after a... Such an awesome hostel! Marcel is amazing, nothing is to much hassle. He has a wealth of knowledge about Iquitos and has many contacts. He organised me a local guide to take me to the markets within 15mins of me asking about it. It's very hot and humid in Iquitos so definitely spend the extra 4 soles a night for... More

Extremely slow network, unstable water and electricity are all we got from there.. waited 5 hours in despair for a simple shower. We appreciate people at front desk are really trying to help though...

For 28 soles I got a bed in the dorm which I found expensive. I was about to find a place nearly as nice for 15 soles. It's clean but the location isn't ideal, it gets close to the barrio so there are always police positioned outside. Lot of dog poop on the malecon too. It's a good place to... More

There's not an overwhelming choice of accommodation when it comes to Iquitos to be honest and the Flying Dog is fairly reasonable and a good value stay just for a night or two. The beds are comfortable and clean and the bathrooms are decent and were always very clean. The fans were good quality and really powerful and kept the... More

We arrived at the flying dog which is a nice sized hostel with a good atmosphere. Our four bed dorm was ok for the price but very hot at night with only one fan which affected our sleep a lot. Breakfast nice and the lady was very friendly. Big downside was the tour guy who kept pressing us to book... More

I arived to the hostel very late but the stuff was very nice and welcomeing. The beds are big and good, the bathroom is not the cleanst but ok. There are rooms whit or without ac. The ac was working fine but there were water on the flor under it. The stuff was really helpful and nice, and spoke english.

We stayed at the Flying Dog on our way back from the jungle and the stay was very nice. We stayed in a dorm room with four more of people (all in the Ayahuasca preparation process but us) and overall it was quiet and we could get a good sleep. The hostel is way better as compared to others we... More
