Nativa is the best! And I have something to compare with, as I was staying in Iquitos several days a month for more than a year during my field trips to and from the forest. The location is perfect, just 5 min walking from the Plaza de Armas but very quiet. The rooms are always perfectly clean, the beds are comfy, there is an AC and a small kitchenette and the shower is hot which is super rare for Iquitos. There is also a nice communal courtyard and a balcony on each floor. But the best about Nativa is its owner, Monica, who's so warm and welcoming that you immediately feel at home. She speaks perfect English, can help you solve any problem and dedicates a lot of her time to helping stray animals. So there is always a couple of dogs and cats around in the courtyard which is a huge bonus. I would go back to Nativa at any time and already miss it a lot. Thank you again Monica!!!

Super quiet. Good A/C. HOT water. Extremely friendly and fully English speaking owner receptionist. All the rooms have windows. There is a communal courtyard to hang out. You can have full use of the kitchen. The rooms have a fridge and lots of space. The WiFi is the same as everywhere else. Monica the owner helped me find back my cellphone after I left it in a motor taxi. Amazing!

I recently spent a total of 5 nights at the Nativa Apartments Boutique Hotel. It was everything that I had hoped for. It is a very short 3 block walk (5 minutes) to the Plaza de Armas, and just another 1-2 block walk to some wonderful restaurants. My room was huge, with a small kitchen area with fridge, clean bathroom with plenty of hot water in the shower and a very large, comfortable bed. The air conditioning was a blessing after walking around Iquitos for an hour or two. I generally retired to the room in mid-day to cool down and recharge. The owner, Monica, lives in the back of the building with her two cute little dogs. Monica was always a pleasure to talk with. As nice as the room is, the staff is even nicer. Very willing to do anything to help out. The staff sent my (very) dirty laundry out when I returned from the Amazon. It was back in my room by mid-day. They arranged cabs for me to come from/to the airport (25 soles), a cab to take me to a manatee center, and a guide to take me to the Belen Market (40 soles). I would not hesitate to recommend the Nativa Apartments to anyone looking for a comfortable, clean place to stay in Iquitos

We stayed at Monica’s property during a recent mission trip. The staff is friendly, attentive and informative about the community, restaurants and shopping. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The only downside was having to turn off the AC each day while we were out. It took a long time for the AC to catch back up to a comfortable temp after being out in the heat all day. I would have preferred to keep it running even at a warmer temp instead of having to turn it off.

I have stayed here several times. Be aware that this is the "original" Nativa! (unfortunately friends have been misled by other places recently opened with a similar Nativa name). It is run by Monica and her wonderful team, who are able to provide insights and resources for whatever you might need whether it be a reliable airport transfer, medical assistance, where to shop for a unique souvenir or how to get your post-jungle laundry done fast . This place is super clean and with spacious rooms, just 3 blocks from the main plaza and so very convenient and also a welcome sanctuary from the bustle of Iquitos streets. Ideal for solo travellers (the team here is like family and can look out for you) as well as for a group of friends who want to share a room/floor. It is perfect for a few nights or weeks (some rooms have a little kitchenette). I am happy to recommend Nativa Apartments; I sleep really well here and feel nourished whether on the way in and arriving jet-lagged or on the way out and transitioning from jungle life to going home. Thank you Nativa Apartments for your genuine hospitality every time! Great value for money.
