Our travel agent booked us 3 double rooms here at the last minute, for 4 adults and 2 children. When we arrived, we saw that the double rooms all had a double bed and a single bed, making the third room unnecessary. The desk clerk was unimpressed with our request to simply stay in 2 rooms, because he argued that he would not be able to rent out the third one, but eventually agreed to give us only 2 - at s./200 instead of s./180 per room, cash only, paid in full up front. We were not very pleased with this, especially after the hotel had failed to send the promised transportation to pick us up at the airport and seemed completely disinterested in helping us when I called them from the airport to ask about transportation. We had finally resorted to taking mototaxis instead of waiting for some help from the hotel. However, once we were settled in we quite enjoyed the hotel. It was nice to have the double + single beds in each room, the rooms were spacious, and the air conditioning worked well. Soap and shampoo were provided, along with nice towels, and the showers were warm if not hot. I might not choose to stay here again, if other options were available, but it was perfectly acceptable.…
I stayed here for one night in December 2010. The published rate was 130 soles. I negotiated them to 90 soles since it wasn't tourist season and the hotels are all empty. It is a nice hotel however it isn't worth the 130 soles. Its not too close to the main Plaza but you can walk there from the hotel. There are many other budget hotels in Iquitos in the 90-100 price range to choose from with the same comfort.
