With all the walking in Cusco, you will be happy Hostal Suecia 1 is very close to the main square. The rate is good. Cozy rooms and bed. Clean bathroom with hot water. Simple continental breakfast served in a charming old world breakfast table setting. The staff, Tina her sister, and Rosia does not speak much English but tried their... More

Great location right off the main square. Bed was so comfortable with tons of warm blankets. There weren't very many people there when we stayed so the place was very quiet, free luggage storage. Staff only spoke Spanish which I stumbled my way though communication fine but I could see it being a problem for someone who speaks no Spanish... More

Me and my two friends stayed here for 4 nights while in Cusco. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They even kept our bags free of charge when we went to Machu Picchu when we weren't going to stay with them upon our return! Breakfast was more than just bread like a lot of places in Peru. You get... More

The hostel is in a perfect location right next to everything. The rooms are very clean and they have a lot of blankets which is perfect because it was so cold. There is a nightclub right down the road that played loud music until about three in the morning. The staff at the hotel was not very helpful and seemed... More

The location of this accommodation is perfect. The nightclub down the street kept guests on the street side rooms awake most of the night even with the heavy padding on the windows! We were lucky enough to have an interior room with a skylight and the heavy bass was not as evident. The rooms were clean and cheery, the bed... More

We stayed at this little 3 story hostal just off the plaza de armas on two occasions during our trip. The first time we had the 3rd floor matrimonial room with private bath. It was small but full of windows, sunshine and a fantastic view of the hills around Cusco, with none of the central patio noise. The second time... More

This hostel is very close to the Plaza de Armas and on the same street as many of the local trekking companies. The rooms are set around an attractive covered courtyard where breakfast is served. There is no heating in the rooms, but plenty of blankets and duvets are provided. Each room has an ensuite shower room and there is... More

Had a one bedroom on the bottom floor, it was extremely cold, and very damp, the toilet would hardly flush. It's also very noisy. You have to get fresh towels every day, as it will be more wet the next day than when you used it. Staff was not very friendly and tried everything to rip me off. Make sure... More

If you are in town for a trek and/or to visit local sites this hostal is well placed near the various travel agents and the main points of departure for buses taking you out of Cusco.
