Unfortunately only stayed here one night on our way from Urubamba to Lima. This hostel was very nice...very clean rooms, wonderful linens, great HOT showers! The grounds are beautiful; flowers well cared for. Even the bus boys were nice. It is a little off the beaten path from the main Plaza de Armas, however a nice walk and less noisy!...

We stayed here for 2 nights after our Machu Picchu visit. We stayed in a corner room, Room 304, and the view as wonderful! The room itself was spacious and had a king bed. No AC, but with the windows open it was very comfortable. The bed was comfy and the linens and sheets were of a decent grade. The...

After a long travel to Cusco and many awake hours at airports, arriving to Amaru was a blessing. We were greeted with a beverage and our bags were carried to our room. The courtyard is serene and full of bird life. The staff are small in numbers and passionate about their work. You can see the attention to detail that...

We stayed here several nights as a base for our Cusco tours and activities. Nice quiet rooms off of a beautiful courtyard with views over the city. Tucked away in the San Blas neighborhood, about a 10 minute walk to the Plaza de Armas. Breakfast was included and was pretty basic (fruit with yogurt/cereal, bread with butter and jam, eggs,...

Amaru II is a beautiful hostel in hilly but historic part of Cusco. The rooms were comfortable, although we had trouble with our heater the first night, which was fixed the next day. Breakfasts were OK with basic eggs, toast and fruit. This place is a little awkward getting to as from Plaza de Armas it is up a couple...

My mother and I stayed here for two nights so that we could explore the city. The grounds are beautiful and the room was clean, the beds and pillows were very comfortable (if you like a firm mattress), and the staff were all very helpful. It was an easy walk to the plaza, restaurants, shops from the hostel.

In this hotel work very dishonorable people. We booked Superior Double room with "pleasant city views, equipped with a queen-size bed". But when we came they tried to put us in Standard Triple room with courtyard view, very dark and with all the space occupied with beds. In a very rude and shameless manner they told us that photos and...

Wonderful place, with nice views over the mountains, very friendly staff, doing their best to accommodate our needs. Silent room, and very clean and neat, no faults. Heated rooms, hot water 24/7, and great breakfast. Complimentary Coca tea available. Great value! Only downside is the poor Wifi, only available near the reception area.

We had a large group with several rooms. All were clean and nice, some had great views. Every one was pleased with the breakfast (cereal & yogurt, bread, eggs to order, and beverages). The courtyard was lovely with a nice seating area and hot coca tea. The Hostel picked up most of our group at the airport as planned, but...

This place had such good reviews we gave it a try before we left to go back to Lima in the morning. Both my sister's family of 7 and my family of 5 stayed here. Jose and his manager agreed via email that the 6 am ride to the airport in the morning would be covered by Amaru in place...
