+ super clean + great beds + heating(!) + warm water 24/7 + nice staff + free coca tea all day long + simple but good breakfast + price/effort is top + location: an easy walk to everywhere in Cusco - had a room without window to the outside (room 310) super highly recommended!!

This hotel is very clean and safe. Staff are friendly and helpful. Short walk into town square. Sourounding streets can be noisy but so can all of Peru. Breakfast was great. Fresh bread and scrambled eggs yum.

I liked pretty much everything about this charming hotel. The rooms are nice, the staff are friendly and the views are good. The daily breakfast was also a hit. The free wifi was a little hit and miss, but I can't really fault the hotel otherwise. The location was good too; walking distance from the main square and many shops,...

Coming from Lima and struggling with the thin oxygen level, staying in Amaru would not be a big help. We were greeted by their friendly staff who were all so willing to help with our luggages but the way to the rooms was quite a struggle too as we had to take the stairs. They could add a water heater...

After several days trekking by foot to MP and back, we stayed our last night at Amaru. It was everything needed: a comfy bed, nice clean big bathroom and shower, great service and complimentary breakfast made to order and an amazing view of Cusco. We were completely satisfied and had a great evening celebrating our last night in Peru! Thank...

It was a fine hotel for its price but prospective guests should be aware that it is a bit of a walk before any restaurant, shopping or any attraction. The distance is not that great but at such high altitude and on your first day in Cusco when walking uphill will be a real struggle, one would wish he booked...

The room is very confortable and beautiful (everything brand new!), countryside style. The hotel is in a nice neighbourhood with a very good vegan restaurant "next door". And plenty free coca tea all day long, to help with altitude sickness. Just wi-fi needs improvement but we were very happy there :-)

This hotel is a bit of a walk from it's sister hotel and the roads are steep and narrow. It is situated in an area that does not feel that safe at night. The toilet was blocked and the bathroom light was only able to work when next door had their lights on. The room was nice but the wifi...

We stayed here for one night before leaving for Machu Picchu. The hotel held our bags for the two nights we were gone, which most hotels do but it was still awesome. We came back for an additional two nights though realized too late that we should have booked another night. We tried but they were booked solid. This was...

Unfortunately only stayed here one night on our way from Urubamba to Lima. This hostel was very nice...very clean rooms, wonderful linens, great HOT showers! The grounds are beautiful; flowers well cared for. Even the bus boys were nice. It is a little off the beaten path from the main Plaza de Armas, however a nice walk and less noisy!...
