Staged through Resbalosa 3 times in 3 weeks whilst on expedition, each time happy to return. Booked direct from the UK first time, then even got the same rooms for the group on subsequent visits. Hostal perched above the city, so be aware of the climb back up if newly arrived in Cuzco, as 3500m altitude! (ps Machu Picchu is...

I spent two nights here before my Salkantay trek and one night after. The family run business is pretty attentive, especially the mother and father. The rooms are mediocre. I had very hot water with great pressure. The room is cold but the bed is furnished with lots of blankets which I love and make for a great night's sleep....

My adult daughter and I stayed here our last two nights in Peru. We arrived in the late evening without reservations, after finding Casa del Inka full. We had already climbed up the grueling stone steps and this place was next door. Room 106 had a full and a twin bed with private bath. Unlike what many previous reviewers have...

Hostal Resbalosa is up a staircase on the way to San Christobal church. The church has a great view of Cusco and so does the Hostel! It takes some puffs and a bit of will power to go up to the hostel whilst getting acclimatised to the altitude. The 20 sole dorm price in a comfortable bed (Nov 2014, room...

The hotel itself would be alright, if we don't consider that there is basically hardly any hot water and the rooms are cold. But the staff is just terrible. They were continously trying to make us settle for less than what we paid for and giving us different information and prices. We ended up leaving on the middle of the...

Really good value for money if you are travelling on a budget. It is quite hard to access it as it's located on top of a hill, but the view on the city is incredible. It can be a bit cold at night. The owners are really nice and will do everything to help you. The breakfast is also really...

It might seem hard to get there because of the altitude, but it's totally worth it: the view on the terraces is amazing. Plus the staff is very nice, you get decent breakfast and clean bathrooms. Also we left our bags for 4 days to go to Machu Picchu in their lock room for very few money. However the hotel itself...

Used twice during a month long expedition. Staff very helpful, rooms clean and secure. Showers best early morning if you want hot water as they tend to go cold later in the day. Breakfast OK but very basic and also on the slow side which was a bit of a pain as we needed to get transport off to our...

Great hostel, nice location, staff very helpful and friendly, excellent value. I stayed in a private room and was very happy with it. Would recommend to anyone looking for a good value, budget hostel. Lots of restaurants nearby too, avoid eating directly in plaza de armas, better food and value in the small streets near the hostel.
