I am not a professional reviewer, and this is just my opinion. While in Cuzco, we stayed at the Hotel Monasterio, which, as its name indicates, is located in an old (built in 1692) monastery, just a couple of blocks away from Plaza de Armas, the main square. We have stayed in many luxury hotels all over the world, but...

Spent four nights at the Monasterio recently. Everything about the hotel exudes charm. The rooms - I saw four - are very comfortable and are delightfully furnished. Breakfast at the hotel is as good as one would expect......and more. The staff at the hotel could not be more helpful of friendlier. The hotel is in a perfect location for visiting...

This is not just a hotel, it's an experience. From the moment we walked through the doors we were in awe of the surroundings that presented themselves to us. The service is above anything we've ever experienced, and is now the bar to which we will measure all other luxury hotels. This is a franchise to be proud of, to...

It is a wonderful experience to stay in such an historic place. the rooms are not big but feel authentic yet with all modern comforts and conveniences. On a sunny morning a lazy breakfast in the courtyard is an unforgettable experience. We also enjoyed the opera night with dinner in the amazing dining room

Dear guest, Thank you very much for your review. As you say not all rooms are big, this is due to was an old monastery of the Jesuit order, now protected by the National Institute of Culture, which does not allow us to make modifications in the structure, but we have tried to get a unique product ¨The old and...

We recently spent two nights at the Monasterio and it is a very special place. Perhaps the best hotel I've ever stayed at. The beauty of the place is stunning and the service was wonderful by everyone we came into contact with. The rooms are very quiet (the walls all seem to be three feet thick) and all open onto...

A gorgeous setting, soaked in historical ambience and the service is better than any global hotel I've experienced. We happened upon the pisco tasting experience and it was a unique and wonderful evening. Sitting at a small table by the huge fireplace, live music in the background and 8 piscos to sample. Our super knowledgeable bar manager walked us thru...

We chose this gem as our trip to Peru was part of our Ruby wedding celebrations. We had heard about the Monasterio from friends and we're not disappointed. To make things even better we were upgraded to suite so had plenty of room to ourselves. The staff were, to a person, excellent and they could not do enough for us....
