We stayed here one night on our way to Machu Picchu. The concierge was very knowledgeable and gave us useful advice for how to deal with the altitude sickness and what tourist traps/scams to avoid. The hotel is in an old, stone building, and the rooms haven't been changed since the 15th century with the exception of adding bathrooms. We...

Rumi Wasi is truly a gem. We stayed there for 4 nights and would be happy to go back again. The made to order breakfasts on the balcony were wonderful. You tell them exactly what you want, and what time, and you can have it in your room or the balcony. Every night they brought us hot water bottles before...

My boyfriend and I stayed at Rumi Wasi before and after our trek to Machu Picchu. It is an excellent little hotel--friendly staff, good service, lots of coca tea, and everything is nice and clean. Also they provide a nice breakfast anywhere you'd like (in your room, dining room, etc.) They ordered us a taxi to and from the airport...

Thank you Marisol and Linda for the great customer service!!! Beautiful hotel! Just wish the bed was more comfortable for such a beautiful room and outstanding service. It' a small hotel but it has such a good vibe. Super unique piece of property. Thumbs up.

We stayed at a number of hotels throughout Peru and this hotel was definitely our favorite! The hotel itself is stunningly beautiful! The modern amenities are nicely tied in with the original 17th century structure. As other reviewers have noted, the rooms have tile floors and can get cold at night. However, the two heaters and hot water bottle (placed...

We had a great stay at Rumi Wasi. The room was very cool with stone walls and the amenities were good. The staff was very nice and helpful around the clock. They also cook guests a personalized breakfast in their dining room each morning for no charge which was a nice touch. Because of the building structure, there was some...

I was hoping to rate this hotel higher - I have reminded myself that this a B&B not a hotel yet still I am struggling to improve my rating. It was cold - the floors are tiled and cold, there is a wall heater but it's too noisy to sleep with so you need a radiator to sleep with -...

This hotel is one of a kind. The entire staff is warm, friendly, hard working, and always available to help. It is a small hotel in the center of Cusco. While one has to walk uphill for two blocks to get to it, this is true for nearly every place one wants to get to as we are in a...

This has been my favorite hotel I've stayed at in awhile. The staff was SO nice - lighting candles, delivering hot water bottles, arranging transport everywhere - they really make the hotel. I hope the hotel management knows how amazing they are! The location is good - not too noisy. Nice view of Cusco from the patio. Breakfast was good...

Great hotel, its more of a B&B feel, the rooms are large with modern accessories and bathrooms, but the design is olden charm. Its a lil up the hill 10mins off the main path which is good if you want to go back and relax while the main streets are thumping away the night, and to wake up to an...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Rumi Wasi (House of Stone) is a house with a colonial style built in the XVI century by Spanish conquerors and erected over Inca's terraces. The property was then bought by the San Roman-Vucetich family. Once the restoration was finished and after contemplating how beautiful it had been done, The San Roman-Vucetich family decided to share the warmth of its installations with Cusco visitors. Thus, we are waiting for you to enjoy a nice and comfortable atmosphere enriched for its architectural beauty, privileged view, history and tranquility. ... more   less
