I adored this hotel. I missed it so much when I moved on to Puno. The building is amazing, it is close to Plaza das Armas and it has two small court yards. It reminded me of a typical Spanish house. The staff are well mannered, friendly and extremely helpful. When you need something, it is done immediately. The rooms...

Loved this hotel - clean, quiet, huge bed, lovely bathrooms and yummy breakfast. Warning - I put in a bag of laundry and a few bits went missing despite being very expensive (and I still had to pay as it was my word against theirs). Also beware large water bottles near the breakfast buffet-my friend filled up my water bottle...

We spent three nights here before our trek to Macchu Picchu. After a long day of traveling, we were greeted by hot coca tea. The rooms were spacious and clean. The hotel is located in a perfect place- close enough to allow you to walk to city center, far enough away that city noise did not keep us up at...

For the unprepared, the tourism industry im cusco can feel like a massive shakedown for every Nuevo Sol you have (of course! It's a tourism city after all and let's not mention the shameful 400$ gringo-pricing on flights for the hour hop from Lima). It an be quite challenging to find good value for money (and assuming you want something...

We stayed at villa Saphi before and after our inca trail tour in October. This hotel is perfect for a luxury stay in Cusco. It is located about 5min walk from the main square. The service is of a very high standard and all amenities are well thought out. Breakfast buffet was excellent-variety of fruit, juices, scrambled eggs, fresh bread...

I stayed at the Tierra Viva Saphi in Peru on two occasions. The first time around they gave us a room that was so small, that after we opened our suitcases, there was no place to step on the floor. The staff, however, were very nice. So on our return trip from Macchi Picchu, they have us a big room....

The amenities and staff at this hotel are fabulous. We were always promptly greeted upon arrival, the door opened for us, our bags always taken care of and the staff went above and beyond for our extra needs. The rooms were clean and neat, the beds comfy, the breakfast enjoyable. There was a nice central courtyard to enjoy the mornings,...

Lovely hotel & room - excellent, friendly staff - always ready to help. Only negatives were (a) location - whilst near to Plaza de Armas, the immediate area around the hotel was not particularly pleasant to walk through, especially at night. (b) the breakfast room is small with only a few standard sized tables; whilst other seating available, they are...

We stayed here 3 nights before we went to the Amazon, and one night after returning to Cusco. It was the best hotel we stayed at in Peru: very comfy beds, great water pressure, lots of hot water, very clean rooms, extremely helpful staff (they even let us chill our beer in the kitchen's refrigerator). It was also the quietest...

We stayed here 3 times on the way to Tambopata and again before and after hiking the Inca Trail. Staff were very helpful as we had to leave a lot of luggage for both trips. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Our hotel in Cusco is located in what used to be an elegant colonial residence. Throughout the hotel you’ll find a charming contrast between this imperial city’s rich history and modern convenience and comfort. Our spacious rooms are an invitation to rest, offering the ideal place to refuel and start a new day of exploration and discovery. As was characteristic in large colonial residences, our hotel has two interior patios where our guests can relax during a sunny afternoon or enjoy a soft breeze at the end of the day. ... more   less
