I loved this place. A beautiful, old colonial house with a lovely patio. Very clean, friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast too!
The only complaint I have is that there is a bar in the second patio and they play music very loud, so if you are staying near the kitchen you need ear plugs. Though, I must say when I complained to the receptionist she immediately took action.
Overall a great stay.

Location and convenience for Peru Hop buses are the main graces for this hostel. Like a few other hostels in Peru, some of the staff here came across a few times quite rude, almost dismissive of us.

The room was spacious, large ceiling but stuffy and dark. The bathroom in room 7 was small and needed some desperate love; just shabby round the edges for most of the fixtures and fittings. For the money we spent, even with Peru Hop discount, I am sure we could have found somewhere better (especially after speaking to people we’d met who stayed elsewhere).

If you are with Peru Hop, you can book here because it’s the first Arequipa > Cusco stop, so you can pick the best seats on the bus.

Great place to stay, rooms were clean. Breakfast was good which included bread, ham and cheese as well as jam. Staff very helpful and friendly. Great location. Not noisy at all. Would recommend staying here

This is one of the pick up/drop off points for the Peru/Bolivia Hop service that operates between La Paz and Lima. The hostel will accommodate travellers as best they can with the bus times but that does mean waiting in the living room in the early morning while the rooms are being prepared. All in all the hostel is very accommodating, providing baggage storage for when guests visit Colca Canyon (an absolute MUST!) My only criticism, is that the hostel needs to decide on its identity. On the one hand it wants to be a party hostel with music booming out from the bar; on the other hand it is a staging post for travellers using the Peru/Bolivia Hop bus service. On the day we left, there were a dozen or so travellers heading in one direction or the other waiting for the bus pick up. This was at 5:15 am. I doubt if many of these were partying into the early hours! In the morning when we left we had to negotiate dog faeces in the courtyard. The room was comfortable but the shower wasn't brilliant, neither was the breakfast, and we had to do our own washing up

We stayed here on two separate occassions. This hostel is very friendly and very well situated for Arequipa town. The first time we stayed was in a room on the first floor. Very clean and comfortable with a wonderful shower and loads of hot water. The second time, the only accommodation was a suite.WOW. Ground floor, double doors opening into the most amazing vaulted ceiling room, fridge, enormous TV, Huge bath in vaulted ceiling room. I could quite happily have spent spent two weeks in Arequipa just to stay in that room. The best hostel we stayed in during our trip to Peru. Do for one night just spoil yourself.Considering the cost its an absolute steal.
Thank 111avril
