The manager seems to have the organisational skills of a fish. Totally haphazard and unprofessional, although friendly on the surface: after coming back from Colca Canyon late, and tired, he casually told us that the room we booked had been given to someone else! Avoid.

Despite the sketchy showers and the non sound proof room (typical in SA) we enjoyed our stay. Jose is very helpful. Internet works pretty well. Nice terrace too. Location is great. Would definitely stay here again

You cannot trust la Posada del Kuraka. We stayed there 2 nights before going to the canyon de Colca. we left them our bags and booked a room for our return. However they did not keep the room we had booked which is inexcusable, especially because it was on a public holiday so all the hostels were full in Arequipa....

I think Jose the owner must be the nicest guy we met in the whole of Peru! We really enjoyed staying at his place - it's fabulous value for money. In a great location, about 2-3 blocks from Plaza Armas, a block away from the street with all the bars on it and minutes walk from all the main sights...

A really great location and very comfortable rooms. Jose, the owner, is so helpful and will go out of his way to help you in anyway possible. This included restaurant recommendations, tour operator recommendations and storage of our bags whilst we were on the Colca Canyon trek. A great option in Arequipa.

Really place to stay with an owner that works so hard for his guests. Great WiFi and hot showers. Clean rooms. Great location. Jose looked after our bags whilst we went to the canyon and was very helpful with things like arranging taxis. We were so grateful to know our bags were in safe hands. Only thing to note is...

Great address in Arequipa. José, the owner is very helpful with advice on what to do and where to go and he really enjoys talking and meeting travellers. The hotel is calm and very clean, excellent hot water which is quite rare. The only thing I would improve would be the kitchen organization to facilitate making one's own meals. Thank...

We arrived super early in the morning, but they would welcome us very warmly, give us a room to sleep for the rest of the night (without extra charge) and helped us to find a good rafting tour provider. Recommended!

“I had room number 7.....with tv....but as far as I have seen all are more or less the same. In my room were 2 beds.....but they also have beds kingsize.”

“2nd floor is perhaps a little cooler as there is an open staircase to the roof terrace, but certainly not freezing and probably a bit lighter than ground floor but again not drastic. No problems with water pressure, internet on either floor and room and shower sizes seem to be the same.”
