We bookended our 1 night Colca Canyon trek with a stay here. Both rooms were comfortable and clean and relatively spacious. WiFi worked best in the courtyard. Good breakfasts. Very friendly staff, who were happy to let us in and out at ridiculous times of night because of our tra

Unreliable WiFi truly ruined the stay here because I could not access email or research tours for Colca. However this is claimed to be temporary only due to the internet provider doing upgrade work. My room was clean and comfortable but only one of the shared bathrooms had hot sh

Our room was kind of cute but quite stuffy as it had no window. There was very little guests for our stay and at the end we got a view of the other rooms and now feel we had the worst one even though it was empty. The bed sheets appeared clean but we had a purple top duvet/cover

Dear Guest, Thank you for your comment, we keep the door closed for security reasons, that is for your own safety and to keep our guests in a quiet and safe environment. As you said we have a bell that says "Ring at anytime for assistance" that bell we are very aware of to give our customers any service they might need. We apologize If as you said the timing was bad because at that moment there was no-one at the front desk, but I can assure you we are ready to open and close the door for all of our guests always. Thank you for staying with Us!

Hello, Do you provide airport transfer? If yes, how much you charge for it? If no, how much will be taxi cost? and what should we tell the taxi person? Thanks
Hi guys, I don't believe this hostal provides airport transfer. That said, you should be warned that the trip from the Arequipa airport to this hostal is a fairly long one, and not very cheap. The hostal is right across the street from the tourist police station, and very very close to the monastery, and easy to find. I can't recall precisely what the taxi cost but it might have been around twenty or thirty dollars, or thereabouts- not soles, but dollars. Again, not cheap. It is a long drive from the airport. Be sure you SMELL the room before you take it, some of them can be very musty, and some can be a long way from the shared toilet if you aren't getting ensuite. They can also be very small with virtually now here to put your gear. Be sure to look before you rent. It's a long walk upstairs to the hotel. so be prepared for a bit of a hike. The good news is that they are very centrally located, and that makes them super convenient.

Hola! We will be arriving in Arequipa bus terminal at 9:00am. Is there a way to reach the hotel by using local bus? If we take a taxi, how much should we expect to pay? Gracias! Sophia
Hi Sophia, Thanks for contacting us! Look, local buses are usually full and as I asume you have at least backpacks with you, I would´t recommend you to use the local buses. Taxi fare from the bus terminal to the Hostel should be no more than 8 - 10 Soles. It takes about 20min to get here. As a reference we are just in front of the Tourism Police in downtown "Centro" Arequipa. Taxi`s will tell you that we are "full" or "out of business" because they want to take you to other hostels that pay commissions to them for getting them more guests, so as an advice throughout your journey in Peru, don`t mind them and just go to the hostel where you want to go. Cheers!
