A beautiful place to stay. Some construction around but did not interrupt our sleep. The room was comfortable, the breakfast delicious on the 4th floor. Like one reviewer said, there is no elevator, but it is worth it. The lady prepared our breakfast and we had special food request and she did it for is.

I warn you now, this is a list of grievances, but absolutely truthful. The bedroom was so small that the wheelchair could only be used fully opened-up to,and including, the open door of the room...it could not even pass the bottom of the bed. A miniature dachshund would have demanded a bigger bathroom....I could not sit or stand at either...

This is a very affordable hotel very close to the Cuenca historic center by Park Calderon. Although it suffers of the parking problem of all hotels nearby, we had to get in and out our cars at specific time of the day. Room were clean but if you have a room without windows to the outside, DO NOT TAKE IT,...

Hotel San Andres is a very nice, historic hotel in the heart of Cuenca. It is a unique hotel and the rooms are very nice. The free breakfast is also great. It is very clean too. We had some issues with low water pressure and colder water temperatures during times that are common for showering/washing sheets and so it may...

My wife and I spent two nights at this hotel. It is a restored colonial. The service was excellent. Very helpful staff - don't even try to carry your own luggage. A few momemts after carrying my own luggage three staff members appeared out of nowhere to haul our luggage. We were charged $63 for the night including breakast. The...

Quaint colonial whose charm is beginning to fade. Common areas are average. Room needs a makeover. Basic breakfast included in room price. Bare feet required washing before putting clean socks on because of dirty room carpet. WiFi spotty to non-existent. Reset in-house connection after requested one day. Never reconnected after subsequent request. Gives the appearance of advertising luxury while actually...

It's a smaller boutique hotel located almost center of downtown Cuenca. For the price, we paid $60 US a night ( breakfast included) it was great. It's within walking distance of almost everything downtown, if you need to call a cab $2.50 was the most we paid. Hotel is very quaint, great atmosphere, staff was extremely helpful (helped us book...

Think we were the only guests in nicely restored property. Staff speaks limited English but are very accommodating. Great covered openroof allowed nice breeze throughout. Nice breakfast. Lovely grassy garden @ rear of property.

We stayed four nights at this hotel and were very pleased with our choice. Actually it was a review on TripAdvisor that encouraged us to look at it online, and we decided to book it. We were not disappointed. It is an old colonial building which has been tastefully decorated and is nice and peaceful inside, although it is on...

We stayed one night in this well kept hotel. The staff could not have been more accomodating and gracious. The hotel agreed to keep two bags for us in secure storage as we departed for a jungle tour a week ahead of our stay at Hotel San Andres. On a late arrival at 11 pm, after that tour, our bags...

“We had a garden-view room, which obviously had an outside window looking out onto the garden. However, we did notice that quite a lot of the rooms, as with all colonial buildings in Latin America, only had windows looking onto the corridors, which makes them much darker.”
