A friend and I stayed in the phenomenal 2-room suite. It's gorgeous, well-appointed, you have your own patio, great showers with very hot water. Perfect. The only thing I didn't like was that there wasn't real coffee (only Nescafe). If they only invested in a coffee maker/espresso machine this place would be about perfect. It's far enough out of the...

We stayed here for 5 nights in December 2014/January 2015. We initially had the Esmeralda room where the bathroom was connected to the same wall (with an open window) as the breakfast area. The door also had plexiglass so it was very noisy! In addition, one wall/window was connected to the cute outdoor area, which was also a smokers area,...

Nice rooms with roses (of course), friendly staff, not too far to walk to Plaza de Armas. They offered us hot bottles to keep warm at night, which is really comfortable at this altitude. The breakfast is great for most people, but if you can't eat bread/gluten, there is only fruits and yoghurt (no eggs). But still, definitely a hotel...

Casa de las Rosas is a lovely B&B in Cuenca. The ambience is beautiful, with a central, enclosed courtyard where breakfast is served. There are two living rooms where guests can chat with each other, and have coffee/tea/fruit/sweets at any time of day or night. The breakfast buffet was a nice spread, and we were offered eggs made to order...

We very much enjoyed our stay in this small boutique hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room (the appartment) and bathrooms were spacious, very clean and nicely decorated (thanks again for the fresh roses !). Breakfast was indeed excellent as previous reviews had indicated. The old city (at walking distance) is certainly worth a visit (1/2 to 1...

My wife and I visited Cuenca in June 2014 and had a fantastic 4-night stay at Casa de las Rosas. We were warmly greeted by Cristian on the evening of our arrival and stayed in a very spacious and comfortable room. We are early risers and were happy to see the breakfast buffet ready for use by 6:30am each morning....

My sister niece and I stayed at Casa de las Rosas in July 2013. We had a lovely stay. The room was simple, but comfortable with some nice touches: rose petals on the bed when we arrived, hot water bottles provided each night. Our room had a king-sized bed and a twin, so we had plenty of room for the...

I was a bit disappointed when we arrived at Casa de las Rosas from the airport. I selected this hotel based on Trip Advisor's reviews and ranking. The location of the hotel is not optimal, it is located in a busy commercial area and 6-10 blocks from the historic area. The accommodations were very basic but comfortable for a one...

We booked a double room for 9 nights. We were shown a room that was larger than a double with a kitchenette. After 6 nights, upon returning from dinner, the lobby was full of people and bags. We were told in front of everyone that we needed to pack our bags and move to another room immediately because these peole...

Don't know how things become top rated in Cuenca (andI haven't stayed elsewhere her) but Las Rosas is a very comfortable and hospitable quite small hotel that is reasonably priced. At a (walkable) distance from the main historical attractions & better eateries, rooms are big and cheerful and breakfast is well done. Place is well kept and staff are young...
