I arrived at night from airport. When I stepped inside Casa de las Rosas, I thought I was in the Hilton Hotel! The owners put a ton of money into this old building and it shows. :It is just beautiful. My ensuite room was large, all the amenities, hair dryer, bottled water, bathrobe, chocolates, etc. Bountiful breakfast buffet. Johnathan, Diego,...

Loved our Esmeralda room on the first floor which opened into a courtyard. It was roomy and quiet. While not in the prettiest neighborhood, hotel itself is beautiful inside. Only about a 15 minute walk to the New Cathedral. Great breakfasts in cozy dining room. Staff very warm and helpful. Would definitely stay here again if and when in Cuenca.

Reading the history of this hotel, we were not surprised when we turned up. It feels like a real home that once had a lot of kids!. Small and charming, we had the family room upstairs and loved it, A simple but practical hotel, the service was prompt and attentive. They organised our tours with really good tour guides, explained...

Four of us stayed at Casa de las Rosas for five nights and we were thrilled. This is a sweet, quiet spot that is quite homey and warm. Diego, the manager, was friendly and helpful and spoke some English, and Fernanda made and served us a a large and wholesome breakfast every morning, including eggs, yogurt, granola, fresh fruit, good...

My husband and I and another couple stayed at Casa de las Rosas five nights and agree it's a charmer. Rooms are comfortable and well equipped, the staff, especially the manager, Diego, and all-purpose employee Fernanda, served us well. Both were exceptional. Breakfast hours are 7 - 10 a.m., and breakfast fare includes fresh fruits, granola and yogurt, toast, homemade...

Outstanding hotel. Unassuming from the outside but what a surprise when you enter. Old world hotel with modern amenities. Had a two bedroom suite that was actually a two bedroom apartment with two bedrooms, full kitchen, dinning area, couches and modern bathrooms. Great breakfast that would please any ones tastes. Service beyond anything you can imagine. Diego at the front...

We are a family of five (with three kids ages 3, 6 and 8) and stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment at the top of the hotel. The apartment was very spacious with an outside deck. Every one of the staff members at the hotel was extremely kind, attentive and helpful. The atmosphere at the hotel is calm and pleasant...

Driving up to the hotel I was a bit worried. The exterior did not have much appeal. Either did the street. Once inside I was pleasantly surprised. They have made all kinds of effort and attention to detail. Some touches like rose petals on the towels, simple stuff but you know somebody cared. Its a few blocks to walk to...

I was pleased to find such a highly rated hotel at such an affordable price. The hotel advertises parking available for $5/day. They don't mention that the lot is a block and a half away from the hotel, and we were actually charged $7-12/day depending on the time we got the car out. The hotel itself seems like an old...

“Avoid the Verde Room (they may have chanaged the name after my review) at all costs and their is a motorcycle shop nextdoor so on the street can be very noisy at times. The top floor room is nice but $120 a night they told us after they moved us out of it.”
