This hotel is located at one of the sides of Santo Domingo church. The hotel is small, has three floors, no elevator, nice decoration. Rooms: Clean and nice rooms. Comfortable beds. Rooms in 3rd floor are brighter. Some face the street, some the interior. Room in the first floor is darker but quiet, it faces an interior patio. This room...

We stayed there twice and both times the service personal was really nice and helpful. It is a cosy hotel with love to detail in the historic center. Beautifully restored colonial house. Our kids loved it (and we also). You can walk to all the most important sights. Beautiful view of a church from the little roof top terrace. The...

We spent a week here and really enjoyed it. The staff were really nice and the hotel was very nice. We had an inside room that went opened into the internal courtyard that we REALLY enjoyed. We could open the window and only faintly hear the noise of the city. When it would rain you hear it rain right outside...

This is one of the nicest hotels I have stayed at for well under under $50. Fantastic value. Classic hotel, well appointed, clean rooms with comfortable bed and hot water. Located in the heart of historical district. The staff, Alex and Nelson were extremely helpful with directions, restaurant suggestions, calling taxis, and bus schedules for Baños. Highly recommend.

The hotel was super cute, lovely historic décor, great staff but the beds were soooo small. I still think we would come back here as the breakfast was great and it was a perfect location to be right in the historic part of Cuenca.

Very friendly & helpful staff in this lovely boutique hotel. Great fun to just check out the various nooks. Room was clean, very nice with good hot water & even a small refrig. Internet was not the greatest. We had a street room with small balcony that we enjoyed but might prefer a backroom if you don't enjoy the city...

I stayed for six nights. The management charged me $5 extra per night for my medium-sized dog, which I thought was fair. The rooms are small, but not to an extent that I felt would be an issue. The daily cleaning is very thorough. The breakfast is basic but fresh. The location is very good -- right across from one...

Reading the low score reviews I can vouch for their truthfulness. Our room, well located on the ground floor, was dominated by the bed. There wasn't enough room to open out both suitcases at once. The bathroom was tiny and barely fit one person, except in the shower. The shower rose was more like an open hose. Every night was...

Location, historic home, staff & breakfast great! The staff couldn't have been better. They don't speak alot of English but were always gracious about helping me with my Spanish. Breakfast had many excellent choices for hot food, fruit, juices, great coffee, too! The building is beautiful & decorated to the period. Perfect location. The staff goes out of their way...

“If you are prone to the effects of altitude sickness try to choose a room on the lowest level as carrying a heavy suitcase up the stairs may make you 'out of breath' because of Cuenca's relatively high altitude. Alternatively ask the very friendly staff to take you luggage up to your room.”

“The wifi i set up at the front of the hotel at the business center, so try to avoid getting a room at the back of the hotel (Rm 204, etc) since the WiFi signal can become a bit iffy at times.”
