I have stayed here a few times. It is a good deal. They struggle with coordinating reservations and Internet comes and goes. The Mariscal area is nice but sometime nosy. Staff are always friendly and it includes basic breakfast in the courtyard. Good for a few nights on a budget Some rooms are very small try to see the one...

The Mariscal section of Quito can be very dangerous at night. This hostel provides a clean, cheap and quiet oasis in the middle of the madness. The floors are a little creaky and the hot water isnt always plentiful, but what do you want for $22 a night. The place has a lot of charm, cool guests and the owner...

The location really trumps the small issues here. It's 3 blocks from Plaza Foch, yet on a very quiet street. It felt very safe as well. The room was pretty worn, with wood siding that was worn through in areas. The shower is TINY and the cloth shower curtain sticks to your skin which grossed me out a little. There...

I got there late at night and because I don't speak enough Spanish (I only have basic spanish) the owner was telling me I shouldn't stay there, she only wants native Spanish speakers and wanted me to leave. I told her it was the middle of the night and I had nowhere else to go (Quito is known for its...

Safe, clean hostel in a really convenient location. In the heart of La Mariscal, but relatively quiet and peaceful. Short walk to ecovia or trolley and tons of bars and restaurants. I was in a dorm room with just four beds. Breakfast is decent and the wifi signal is really strong.

Booked and paid deposit for a single room with bathroom, when I got there I was put in with two friends in their room and they still demanded further payment even though the deposits paid by all of us amounted to the full cost. Breakfast was only scrambled eggs, not as described. Very basic.

La Posada del Maple is a very cute and quaint hostel in an amazing location. It is only a couple blocks from the main center where all of the restaurants and bars are located (in La Mariscal)! We heard reviews that La Mariscal is dangerous so it is important to find a great and safe hostel, which la posada del...

This street is really near to where it all happens for young and backpacking Quito; Plaza Foch. But this is really quiet. All the houses in this street look very nice. I stayed in a 3 bed dorm but was the only ine in the room so I had a private. The beds are really soft and warm. Showers have...

The Hostal I am told is the very first Hostal in Quito. It is located on Juan Rodriguez Calle, which is the most beautiful street in all of La Mariscal. It is very well lite and since it is a very touristy street, the police pass up and down the street frequently. Also Taxis are very easily accessible at all...

I've stayed here several times during my time in Ecuador. Can't comment on the private rooms but the value for money on dorm rooms is excellent: $7-8/night including an above average breakfast! Guest kitchen and free wifi throughout. Friendly vibe and good for meeting other travelers if you're traveling on your own. Great location in the Mariscal on Calle Rodriguez,...
