Everything about the hotel is marvelous. The lovely buffet breakfast (included) with artisan cheeses, homemade breads, smoked salmon...... PLUS the offer of made- to- order breakfast. Sparkling wine available next to the fruit juices. The bed linens were the best I have slept under, and that was after I removed the sweet treat pastries that were always left during turn-down....

Nothing is too much trouble for the friendly professional staff - from requesting a room with 3 beds to getting cash from the receptionist to advice about local attractions the staff were great. Location is fantastic right in the old city a five minute walk from the town square where everything happens (especially on Sundays when the old city is...

Wonderful hotel in historical Quito. Our room was gorgeous and so spacious. A continental breakfast and high tea are included with your room. So much food with both and the service was great. They also offer hot chocolate during high tea which I would highly recommend. Dinner in the hotel restaurant was very good. Very nice menu and service. You...

What a magnificent Hotel! Simply breathtaking! It has a wonderful location and is absolutely beautiful. 14 of us loved it. It was the high point of our visit to Quito. The service was impeccable. Atmospheric bar. Elegant throughout! Stay here and spoil yourself with luxury!

A beautiful, elegant hotel on a historic plaza in old Quito, pretty much walking distance from everything in the old city you would want to see. Originally (and up to a decade or so ago) this was a private home ... fun to imagine what that must have been like! Service was impeccable. Perfectly appointed. Excellent food. Great Panama hat...

A gracious hotel right on a beautiful plaza in the old historic Quito. We opted for rooms not facing onto the plaza (to minimise noise). The rooms were beautifully equipped - stunning bowls of roses in the room, thoughtful amenities, gorgeous ceilings, lovely fabrics. The service was charming. Lovely covered courtyard, rather like a European Orangerie, where you could read...

The hotel disposes of a inner court with a beautyful garden. The room is tastily furnished, clean and functional. The bathroom is quite big. However, if you travel with a lot of lugage then there is not too much space left in your room.

This is an elegant hotel in the historic center of the city. It is located in a former private residence and has been restored beautifully. There is a lovely central courtyard, and the rooms are very well appointed. It was the perfect place to begin our South American journey. The restaurant is also excellent, both for breakfast and dinner. The...

I was in Casa Gangotena as a part of a packaged tour, so I don't know in detail how much I paid. Surely it was not cheap. Anyway I'd recommend this place to anybody who is not required to keep to a tight budget. The service is quick and precise. The common spaces have an exceptionally warm and elegant atmosphere....

Beautiful hotel in the centre of the Old District of the city. Great for just walking out the front door and seeing the real life of the area. Sumptuous decoration. Beautiful bedroom. We were in Garden 2 which is on the ground floor opposite the fountain in the garden area. Lovely quiet location. All the staff were very helpful and...
