I don't always X but when I do I Y! Well the hostel is cheap and nice! But they don't allow alcohol and they throwed out a group of anglo-saxen goofs that tried to drink their very first beer in their life on the roof terrace. The "Hostelboy" (the owner Mauricius) is a quite good guy and speaks fluent russian...

The "Hostal Belmont" is located in the very center of Quito. The rooms are very cheap but a little shabby. But as I said, the price is ok. You can either choose to take a room with shared bathroom or with a private and you will always pay the same. But I would rather prefer the one with the shared...

Yes rooftop is nice but kitchen is really basic. The rooms dont have windows so it's really stuffy and damp. Our drain didn't work in the shower so it was wet puddle for two days. It was my first hostal in Ecuador for six bucks a night but still wouldn't recommend. We also got held up at knife point a...

Rooms are clean, owners are very friendly. They personally open door 24 hrs a day. So this place is very secure. Hotel has a terrace and kitchen on the roof with great views of Quito. Guests can use it for meals too, and probably as a barbeque area. Old Town is one block away, so location can't be better. And...

We stayed in a few hostels in Quito this month, and this was the last one. We wished we had find this place sooner. It is half the price of most hostels, and even one third of the price you pay at the secret garden almost next door. It also more quit. The owner is very helpfull. Okay, the building...

My wife and I stayed here because there was no room in the Secret Garden, hostel right up the road. For the price, it’s hard to complain too much, but it was certainly rougher than what we were used to... Pros: Price, proximity to the Secret Garden (good food, helpful travel agent, nice hangout spot), relatively quiet location, nice owner....

We really liked this place. The staff/owners are really friendly, and it is such a bargain! We had a very small but clean ensuite double room, and the rooms with private bathroom cost the same as the slightly larger ones with shared bathroom. There is a kitchen and roof terrace with good views over the town. Comfortable, homely and secure.

We stayed there for 3 nights. The beds are not the best, but the hospitality of the family who run this place is superb ! They have a nice little kitchen at the roofterracy, with at wonderful view at Quito and the local bullfightring. Absolutely worth the money. And quite.

Hostal Belmont is well-located - a short walk to Old Town, and a cheap US$1+ taxi ride to new Town. It is in the same area as Secret Garden. There's a travel agency called Capedm on the same street that can book tours in Ecuador and give travel advice. Nearby eating options include a chifa, some small local eateries and...
