Stayed their for a week through a trip handled by Packngo. The hotel room, amenities and staff were homey and comfortable. Specially Asma and Natalie. They are just so sweet and welcoming. Always helpful and smiling. A perfect budget hotel at a very good location.even though the room was small, it had every thing required for a comfortable stay. Things we needed were places to go for lunch and dinner(Walking distances) and mustafa mall. And we were sight seeing at all other times. The location made it so easy with fixed schedule and a 6 month old baby with you.Just perfect. And breakfast was just wonderful.👍👍👍👍 I will recommend it to everyone. Awesome.
This hotel is value for money for budget travelers. We stayed in family room for 6 nights. Towels were replaced and mineral waters were replenished every time we returned to rooms at night. The hotel is also well connected by bus and there is a big food court nearby where you can have breakfast, lunch and dinner at an affordable price. The bus guidance need to be updated as it is outdated, For example, the bus guidance provided recommendation to take MRT to Joo Koon and take Bus 251, the actual route should be to taking MRT to Boon Lay and take Bus 194.
As soon as you walk into reception, you're hit by a wall of cigarette smell. The place absolutely reeks. The lift and carpets smell so strongly of old mould that we had to hold our breath until we got to the room. The room itself was nice and clean as pictured. However, the bathroom / toilet door would not shut at all, so you had to hold it closed with your foot when on the toilet. There was no toilet paper at all. There was clear soliciting outside the hotel door. However, the location was perfect, and as I said, the room itself was clean and pleasant.
We stayed in family room for 3. Room is not that big, but it's enough for us to move around and put our luggage. Check in is only available from 3 pm, so we waited and went to lunch first but fortunately the staff lets us early check in at around 1.30 pm. Staff is also friendly and helpful for our request and question. Room is very clean, with amenities that is considered complete; there's towel, toothbrushes, water heater and even hair dryer. Free Wi-fi is fast and reliable. Very satisfying for a budget hotel. Only the room got quite some noise from the road outside. Hotel location is quite far from MRT station, but next to a bus stop so we get around mostly by bus. There's convenience store nearby too. Will consider to stay here again next time visiting Singapore.
First of all i will recommend this place for those travelers on the budget. Accommodation is comfortable, near to the bus stop, near to Novena Square, Novena MRT station, and convenient stores. I rate my stay based on the following: 1-5, 5 being the highest. Cleanliness = 4.5 Budget = 4 budget friendly Location = 4.5
If you are looking for a clean family room, with crispy clean linen and towel, 100m to bus stop, an elevator, a window in the room, with toileteries and botttled water and hair dryer. All the basic needs at a budget in singapore this is the hotel. No breakfast served, but no worries at 6 am the nearest hawker centre whampoa market is open and only 150m away. The food varies from vege, malay and spore favorites. Stroll around the hotel you will find good bakut teh at 188 cafe, or the original founder bakut teh 2 stores away. Bus 124 from across the hotel take you to orchard, chinatown etc. Bus 145 take you to chinatown, vivocity with shorter route. Nearby there are 2 durian stalls quite famous if you dare to try or really are durian lovers. Laundry available at balestier tower 40m away.…
No regrets for choosing Fragrance Hotel Balestier as our hotel for 4 days in Singapore. We booked easily through Booking.Com 2wks before our flight. And what a surprise the staff were all courteous and we're fortunate that one of the receptionist is a very helpful Filipina beauty Ms Angelica, the other equally accommodating staff were Ms Emi and Mr Alfus. Angel patiently taught us where to go, how to reach places, gave tips on best things to do, best place to shop, etc, truly a mabait na kababayan from Leyte. Fragrance Hotel itself is worthy of accolade, the lift is ok, the rooms and CR were clean (we're 6 & used 2rms), our towels were changed daily, gave bottles of mineral water everyday, toothbrush and toothpaste everyday, collect garbage daily (all no charge), water pressure is good, cool aircon, cable tv (only 9 channels), secured place w cctv. w/ window!, w/ ref, w/ vault and the best of all the bed is excellent, almost everything is new. we paid less than 5k each for 4 days stay. Truly a remarkable hotel.…
Great stay, good budget hotel Our purpose was solved, Singapore has many costly hotels, this fitted our budget. Rooms were quite small but enough for good sleep, for 2 days it's not bad specially for budget travellers. Staff was good and friendly and always smiling, liked the hotel. Exactly opposite to belistier towers bus stop, near by Indian restraunt tandoori corner and maju, although mrt is quite far have to take bus for novena or boon keng mrt
Fragrance Hotel - Balestier is a good hotel. It is located in a convenience location with easy access to surrounding area, The surrounding area have a lot of food & convenient store. The hotel is clean. The staffs is helpful and polite. What I want to comment for this hotel is the double decker bed. Anyway, overall I satisfied with this hotel. Thank you.
Paid more than 500$ for 3 nights for 3 adults and a child. We got a small room which is okay as we were out most of the day anyway. The internet was very slow and there were only a few sockets to charge your devices so beware. There are convenience stores nearby and food restos aswell. There’s a bus stop just a few walks away. Staff were friendly too.
