Have had a wonderful staycation this week at The St Regis Singapore. Every staff we met were eager to serve and ensure we are well taken care of from check-in to check-out. The management lives up to the global commitment of clean promise and safe management as we could see the effort put in by the management to ensure guests and staffs are safe.

Dim sum at Yan Ting is scrumptious. Reservation in advance is highly recommended as the restaurant was busy on Wednesday afternoon. Breakfast was included in the room rate and the selection of the breakfast was extremely generous.

Special thanks to Dominic and Magdeleine for their hospitality.

As with other St. Regis properties, this was perfection! The staff were very attentive and when you think you may need something, they’re right there approaching you. They know how to read the guest facial expressions. The hotel itself even though it was at high capacity, never felt crowded. The decour is modern/classical.

Breakfast is located in a beautiful dining area with high ceilings and offers a variety of cultural foods. The service was excellent and once again, the staff are there to get you anything.

The fitness center is on the small side, however, it offers everything you need to exercise. There’s a variety of cardiovascular, strength training, Swiss balls, and mats. There’s also water bottles and apples to keep you refreshed. Right outside the fitness center is the pool. The are is intimate and provides a quiet atmosphere. If you’re looking for some alone time, make a left once you enter the pool area and walk all the way down towards the end where there are some tables and chairs under a canopy. The bubbling water next to this area will put you in zen headspace.

Our room was large for a standard room. There are Bose surround speakers, a comfortable luxurious bed, and a large bathroom that has two sinks, bath tub, separate shower and toilet area.

The nearest MRT station is about 10 minutes away and all the shopping and restaurants within a 5 minute walk. There’s a small shopping mall about 3 minutes away with a grocery store, multiple pharmacies, and dining.

If I should return to Singapore, this hotel will be my address!

We stayed here right after the ‘circuit breaker’ period in Singapore, where staycations are finally allowed. Despite the skeleton staff they have, the service (despite a few delays) were still very good. The butler service (Butler Jasper and the team) is still the feature of the hotel and they served us well with a smile (I could feel it even behind the masks).

The location of this hotel is great, walkable to all the nice shopping features of Orchard road; but not right smack in the middle so the area surrounding the hotel is not loud or too crowded. The shopping malls around the area cater for the expats living in the area; we found some shops which we have not been a regular to and quite a good shopping experience.

The room is admittedly not as new as other hotels; for example; there is no built-in HDMI cable for us to watch Netflix from our tablet/ comp. We had to call the technician who helped us ‘lift the tv’ for us to plug in the HDMI cable. However the Bose surround sound (we got upgraded to the suite) was a feature which we wanted to have when we upgrade our own place.

Definitely recommended. Kudos for the team for maintaining the service standard even with shortage of staff.

I have just finish my 2 nights at st regis singapore today. Which I would like to feedback on the level of service that my family and I had received.

1) Check in experience was pleasant and well handled by front desk and I was greeted as titanium member.
2) lobby staff was inattentive to guest, which when my family and I were walking around the premise, hotel staff just brush pass us without greeting or saying hi to us.
3) food order for in-room dining was unpleasant. When the wagyu burger I ordered was sent to me, it was warm and not hot. The meat patty was also overly cook which resulted my unable to consume the patty.
4) I had ordered delivery from external vendor and was told to self collect. The concierge male staff was handing the food over to me with a poor attitude of asking me to take it properly.
5) house keeping changed the towels with stains on the towel (took photographs)
6) French coffee press was not clean throughly before check in. There were bits of tea leaves left over on the container ( took photo).
7) amenities in the room were not maintained, clothes hanger were spoiled and the lampshades were with dust and stained.
8) Breakfast staff were inattentive, keep forgetting orders and drinks. When after reminding, still did not serve. We left the restaurant after meals.

Heard St.Regis offer one of the best service so we chose to have 4D3N stay at the Caroline Astor Suite.

There were 3 check in desks and each time after a check in is done, the table will be sanitised which is a good practise. There is always a line to the check in with an average of 7 to 10 min wait.

For the CAS, each adult guest get a complimentary cocktail from The Astor Bar, 2 complimentary breakfast, 2 complimentary pressing, pay-per-view are complimentary too. There's unpacking & packing service provided.

Since covid, we've stayed in many different hotels including some suites. So far all the hotels we've visited allocate at least 2 hours of swim time per slot and some even offer up to 2 slots per day. But not here so this is quite a disappointment.

We tried heading to the bar to get our complimentary cocktail but the bar was full and was told that they are able to send it up to our suite. Therefore the day after, we called to have it sent up to our suite but was rejected by the lady over the phone after informing me that they can't do that as it can only be consumed in the bar after I said that the bar says that it can be done. I hung up without wanting to further insist.

Called back 1 min later and another lady took the call. She asked if I've gone down to the bar to check if it's full and I can't enter. I explained that the day before we did & it was full & they say that it can be delivered to the suite. As least this time round, the lady at the other end of the line offered to check for seats availability. I had the drinks sent up shortly.

This incident had me thinking about the training & flexibility of the staff on such small matter. Did they think I was seriously desperate for 2 cheap free drinks or too entitled to go down for my free cocktails? At least the 2nd lady had better common sense to help me check which was a few steps for her than to have me head down all the way. Certain communications should be clear between outlets and staff and better communicated to guests. After all, it's hospitality services.

Would I return? I guess for another round because of a complimentary stay from Amex.

Dear KiraYvonneLim, Thank you for staying with us at The St. Regis Singapore and taking the time to share with us your feedback. Please accept my sincere apologies for the unfortunate experience in regards to the handling of your request for the complimentary cocktails to be sent to your room. We are looking into this matter and rest assured we will review the process and training for our staff to prevent a similar situation from happening again. With regard to the swimming pool slots, I do apologise that we are unable to offer a longer duration per slot due to the high demand for the swimming pool. If there is additional availability, we can certainly arrange for you to enjoy an additional slot. Please let my assistant, Ms Marianne Teo at Marianne.teo@stregis.com, know when you are planning to return and we will be happy to make some special arrangements for you. Booked our staycation one day before arrival directly with the hotel. Everything went smoothly from pre arrival, during stay and before departure.

Contacted the butler team via marriott bonvoy apps chat box to request our room to be prepaid before our arrival, the butler team get back to us within few minutes and somebody contacted me on my request ( im impressed! Such an awesome apps!).

On the day of our arrival check in process was fast, the receptionist lady was friendly and helpful (she even play and entertained my daughter 🤣).

During our stay we tried afternoon tea, breakfast and lunch in our room, i love the flexibility given to have our meals in the room especially during this period of time, also the flexibility of ordering food from Yan Ting and in room dining at the same time. Food was warm and taste great.

In the evening, the housekeeper will go to your room to do turn down service. It is really cute when the housekeeper put my daughter’s teddy bear to sit together while holding a book, it is such a simple gesture but really made us happy.

Check out process was fast and the butler team are able to assist us with check out too.

Overall stay was really nice and we had such a great time at St. Regis. Looking forward to be back to the best address!

Booked a staycation to rest and celebrate Chinese New Year Eve and First Day of the Year at this hotel. My review based on personal encounter is as in the following points which the hotel needs to take note of, I would like to to share the points which I have experienced during my stay which led me to come to my given rating of 1. 1. Upon arrival at the park entrance, the doorman or usher would be the first sign of welcome to at least handle my luggage to be uploaded from the car if the car passenger door was not opened. You can experience this first hand at Marina Bay Sands, a 5 star hotel. 2. During check in at the front desk, check-in processing was smooth. However, I didn’t feel the welcome and continuity when I tried to make conversation with the personnel. 3. The room is very nicely furnished but the television is not user friendly. Hence, at one point I couldn’t even access the channels after turning it back on. 4. I visited the pool and upon enquiry to take a look at the premises. I was warned that if I used the pool without a booking and when a check is done I would be solely responsible for my actions. This is not something which I would like to hear during my stay from a service staff of the hotel. 5. When I made a Grabfood delivery to be received on the first day of CNY, I realised that my delivery would have to be self collected at the front desk upon enquiry. Upon my arrival to collect, the hotel service man even knew what room number the delivery is for and enquired with me before handing it over. So the last day of my stay, I personally went down to wait for the delivery rider to receive it at the entrance of the hotel. My observation is that this point can be improved and considered to at least offer a delivery up the room by the hotel staff if possible. 6. Overall, it was quite a strange stay for me at this hotel. It is very grand but yet the level of service is not very welcoming for guests in my experience. I would like to hear from you via this email what can be done even after my sharings because of receiving this rating of 1?

For Marriot Elite members looking for the usual afternoon tea, evening cocktail hours & canapes, do note that changes have taken place due to Covid challenges.

Apart from the welcome benefit - which breakfast is the obvious choice for room only booking, you can also expect a room upgrade. I was accorded the St Regis Suite. Might have been due to my birthday, but i am sure the staff will assist to arrange an upgrade if possible.

Staff were attentive and quick to react. Top marks for this. Special thanks to Kartie and Doris at Les Saveur. They have made my stay much more heart warming and enjoyable.

The replacement for the evening cocktail with a plate of "Chef's Choice" canapés & 1 choice of drink served in the room is hardly comparable to the usual spread. If breakfast can be operated with social distancing, not sure why the evening cocktail needs to be scraped.

The spa facility is complimentary and i enjoyed it. However, please fix the jacuzzi sprout as some were not working. Shower amenities (disposable ones) were not available in all the cubicles. Open air jaccuzi was surrounded by ants.

The weekday high tea was full for the two days i was staying there and i was told weekend was especially popular. Even thou it wasn't a buffet (due to covid) selection provided was adequate and pretty. I took the Signature St Regis tea and was pretty satisfied with the recommendation.

I do hope to be back for another staycation when all the elite benefits are reinstated.

Overall experience for my 3D2N staycation was amazing.

Magdeleine and Sarah were attentive and helpful to meet my needs for making this anniversary/ proposal a wonderful surprise for my fiancée. The level of service from the staffs were indeed peerless, in-fact i had a pleasant surprise when the door staff greeted me by my name when i returned- it was a unexpected gesture.

The Xmas tree was beautifully setup, creating the perfect ambience for the much anticipated celebration in this gloomy year.

While the facilities were not as swanky as compared to the newly opened hotels, the conditions were well maintained and not forgetting the luxurious room space that is a scarcity in new hotel. The victorian marbled bathroom with fast filling bathtub was a bonus.

The breakfast option was limited for a five star hotel standard as the menu did not change throughout our stay. Nonetheless, the dinner options at Brasserie le Saveurs was fabulous.

We managed to had a good massage session at Remede spa and enjoyed the other spa facilities. Would like to thank the masseuses.

St Regis definitely gave us an excellent experience and we will definitely be back.

Stayed during one of the weekends in August to celebrate the birthday of my friend. Pre-arrival email informed guests on what to expect in this new normal and to check on any special occasions.

The Butlers surprised with a rich chocolate cake during the Afternoon tea with the platinum drinks with antipasti being executed well despite the challenges during this season.

Rooms were clean and the masks and sanitiser provided is much appreciated in times of heightened hygiene standards
