Basically good hotel with basic amenities for accommodation. Rochor MRT Station is within walking distance to the hotel. There are quite a number good restaurants nearby which serves good food for tourists and locals. The service of staff is basic and courteous.

Hotel is very good for there services specially mr. Terry on the reception is too good. He always welcome his guests with a very sweet smile and also very helpful in all aspects . I like his dialogue 'no problem ' in the end of every line.

Superior room on the first day, Standard room for the next 3 nights. The only difference is there is a window and view to the city for the superior room, while the standard room have no window at all. We have been using this hotel as our lodgings for few years in Singapore for short trips. Its location is excellent from the places we needed to go. The front desk staffs is very helpful, never not smiling and friendly. The past 2 visits we were served kindly by Ms Liana . Ms Liana, the Hotel's Receptionist at that time...

Nice hotel situated in the middle of Little India. Very small room but clean and tidy and suited our needs. Within easy reach of Singapore centre by various modes of transport. Very good restaurants in local vicinity.

I stayed for 2 nights in this hotel, it is very basic, the rooms are small and some have no windows although they do make this clear when you book. the area outside the hotel is safe but it is dirty and unpleasant. If I was returning to Singapore I would not stay at this hotel again.

Summary based on a one night stay. Part of a budget chain in Little India district. Hotel 81 properties have a reputation, depending on the property, as basic business or “hourly” hotels. This one, according to a local, had a reputation as an hourly, but all indications from my one experience were basic business. Easy to see from the street....

Staying in Little India

Neighbourhood Profile
Little India
With a strong local Indian community, this pocket of Singapore can feel like another place and time. Wander past traditional barbershops while local residents in brightly coloured saris patronize retailers from decades past. Peruse streets lined with colourful shops as the aroma of curry tempts you to indulge. Listen to the Bollywood music echoing from storefronts and take in the stalls selling bright flowers, fabrics, and spices. At the 24-hour, four-level Mustafa Shopping Centre, you can shop through the night and find everything from pharmacy and grocery items to Bollywood DVDs and diamond necklaces. Singapore’s Little India offers a colourful, lively taste of the subcontinent and is well worth the visit.
