Where to start. The hostel is close to a several of exits for Chinatown MRT station. Cheap eats are everywhere in Chinatown so you will be spoilt for choice. Check out the money changers at People's Park for good exchange rates if you have cash. The junction of South Bridge Road and Upper Cross Street is within walking distance of Marina Bay, Gardens by the Bay, the Barrage, the CBD, Bugis, City Hall. There is a self service laundrette down the street which includes detergent, and is fairly cheap for a wash and tumble dry load. And if you hanker for fresh fruit, check out the produce market in the Hong Lim Complex. The nitty gritty: the hostel is cheap, but no palace. Whilst the room and corridor floors are washed everyday, the same cannot be said of the showers and toilets - the grime and mould on the walls is beyond belief; good luck anyone who doesn't wear something on their feet when using the facilities. Rooms are airless and musty, having no ventilation even if they have windows which are sealed, and have a sweaty atmosphere of their own. AirCon only lowers the temperature of the rooms, and does nothing to circulate fresh air. Mattresses have seen better days and dip in the middle where countless bodies have slept on them over time. The same can be said of the pillows. The website photos paint the hostel in a deceptively clean and bright light, unfortunately the view from the open air eating area now looks onto a very large building sight, which even by SG standards must have been underway for at least 12 to 18 months. I guess you get what you pay for, but having travels to SG for decades, this hostel was reminiscent of Bencoolen Street in its heyday. The only saving grace is likely to be the people you meet whilst staying there.

This former shophouse has walls and floors so thin that you hear every door open and every footstep. The hotel has packed in lots of rooms, meaning lots of neighbors and lots—and lots—of noise. Your neighbors open and close their doors and walk around more often than in most hotels to reach the shared toilets, which are another source of noise. But the best part is that this budget hotel attracts guests from budget flights, which come in at odd hours. That means the noise jackhammers its way into your room throughout the night. Have a pleasant sleep.

We stayed here with our tween and teen (Family of 4) for our Christmas holidays. Breakfast included was toast with peanut butter or jam and tea and coffee- all you can eat and was perfectly adequate. Full fridge in the kitchen available to store any items you have just make sure you have a name on them. The staff clean and re stock daily. If you find something not quite right just let them know, they fix it up. It's not because they haven't done it, it is because the current guests might not be doing their bit. In 11 days of staying at the hostel I'd have to say it was the change in guests that changed how clean things were. Laundry service available- at Christmas time the price was $5SGD a kilo approximately and same day service. We had a family room and it was comfortable enough but we were out and about all day everyday. Chinatown MRT a few moments away, along with Telok Ayer MRT just down the road.

this place located in chinatown singapore. close to MRT station, close to chinatown food street, and close to herbal medicine. we booked 1 room for six people, very crowded that i need to move the stair to top bed ( we slept in two stories bed). but the room itself its very good. there are lockers, charging stations, lamp for every bed. food itself is okay, the owner is very kind that show us where to eat for breakfast. they have two type of toilets. toilet with water spray and the one with only toilet papers. overall, i enjoy stay in this place, very good option for travelling and budget tourist!

1. The hostel take cash deposit that will be refunded upon check out but sad to say the front desk or receptionist will not be available after office hour. 2. the receptionist/front desk are not reachable to ask what should the guest do if they wish to check out at 6.30am because of the cash deposit that they implemented 3. noisy rooms the next door guest are legit yelling and laughing like hyena late at night 4. touch luck to locate the hostel because the signboard are literally SMALL. the only sign we can recognize is the mutton soup restaurant. 5. there is LIMITED TOILET cubicle. 1x for male, 1x for female and 1x mixed gender. 6. Dim room condition with light bulb not replaced, worn out wall, worn out air con

Good Room with Clean Beds. Full aircon rooms with safety lockers. Better bring a lock to lock your personal locker. Have a good breakfast, you have ovens, toaster to cook. You have a famous mosque in front and a famous hindu temple in front. China town Mrt stations is just 2 mins away.

I stayed there for a night without booked online before, but the lady offered me the same price that i looked on the OTA, which was very affordable. I even checked in early (at 11am). My bed was clean and comfortable. The bathroom also clean. The location is very strategic, near to the Chinatown MRT gate A. My plane was at 7pm, and they allowed me to left my suitecase there before the flight. There is no additional charge. For a female and solo traveler like me, i feel comfortable enough

we booked this place 2 days ago, since it was quite near the centre 2 female in our group were sexually harassed by the owner. he even touched one of the girl and said some very inappropriate things to other females. definitely NOT recommend to stay at this place if you are female and especially when you travel in a female-only group. the only positive thing is it's quite near the downtown.

If you are a budget traveler, I recommend this place. The staff are really nice and friendly. I came here with my friend. When we first arrived here, we get a warmed welcome from the owner (i guess). The ambiance is also nice. You could feel the friendliness from the staff and even the guest who stay there. We stayed in a bunk bed room for with 2 other female guests. We could also store our luggage before or after check out. Wifi and breakfast is available for the guest. Although we only stay there for a night, we really feel the nice hospitality from the staff. Will definitely stay here again during our next visit!

The hostel wasn't too bad per se, but wasn't great either. The rooms were very small and claustrophobic, as there were no windows and 6 beds crammed in a 2x2 room. Staff wasn't particularly kind or helpful but was okay. Reception was always very busy. The bathroom was shared and extremely hot and always wet and dirty, which was quite annoying since we weren't allowed shoes. Breakfast was included and was diy toast and coffee or tea, so you could take as much as you want within the time allocated. This sometimes meant big queues for the toaster as people would make many toasts in advance before the breakfast was over. The common area outside is on a little terrace with 3-4 tables so quite cute but often quite small and all taken. Common area inside is basically non existent as it consists in one big sofa where there are always people (that looked like staff) sleeping and taking up all space. Location was great, only a 5-10 min walk to Chinatown station. Price was decent for the area but still not exactly cheap. Wouldn't go back but didn't hate it.
