Opening its doors for the first time, The Daulat is a boutique hotel, which caters to both business and leisure travelers with an amalgamation of modern contemporary design and a rich architectural history. With an emblematic interior design across all its 16 rooms, it aspires to accommodate our guests with a unique experience during their stay. The Daulat is located less than 500 meters from Little India MRT station and resides in the heart of Singapore’s foremost Indian enclave. Little India is one of the most vivid, colorful places with an agglomeration of flower vendors, spice stores and Indian fashion wears. Little India historically was part of the Chulia Kampong area. In the initial plans of Singapore by Raffles which, was originally a division of colonial Singapore where Indian immigrants would reside under the British policy of ethnic segregation. The district eventually flourished and evolved to become, what is now known as Little India. Under the British colonial rule the architecture of the buildings then were symbolic of the British influence. The buildings were characteristically known as shophouses. Retailers ran their business from the first floor and their living quarters was the floors above the shop. These designs of the shophouses in Little India range from the Early 1840 to 1900.The fusion of a rich historical installation with modern contemporary facilities and design is what The Daulat cites as general theme for their guests.

This is our second time going to the hotel this time we booked the loft room via agoda for 2 Dec - 3 Dec, we emailed the hotel to request for early check in & late check-out willing to pay additional cost but was told that it was not possible cause the hotel is fully occupied. There's no designated carpark and no complimentary carpark coupon when parked at the nearest carpark (Tekka Place). We reached the hotel at 3:30pm and was told that the room was not ready when their standard check-in time was 3pm. We were told to wait for 30mins and they would compensate us by providing us late check-out at 12noon instead of their standard check-out time of 11am. Since we had to wait and we initially wanted to check out late we asked if we can check out late at 1pm instead since its possible for them to extend it at 12noon but they firmly said no and its against their policy. I then asked its also your policy that check-in is to be at 3pm yet we're waiting an hour later cause the room is not ready. If the guests left early at 11am, you mean to say the room took 4 hours to turnover and be prepared? I mean the hotel does not have many rooms so not sure why they could not perform flexibility for the guest but its fine for them to do so. The staffs there were not professional while handling guests. No wifi username /password was given. The room door's manual lock does not work, pillows are flat with very less cotton, bedsheets with stain marks, dirty toilet mirrors, the aircon for the the first floor of the loft is place right next to the bed on the second floor of the room and the aircon filter is filled with so much dust. Thin walls and there was renovations going on in the morning which was very disruptive. Our experience from the first time does not defer much to the experience we just had the only reason why we decided to return to the hotel is in the hope the hotel would have been better and the room is kinda cozy. Hope the hotel looks into this and makes some changes.

The worst staycation ever! The staff services were very bad. Made us wait for a long time for the boss and contractors to check the room. Cameras at the room balcony which is an privacy issue. No proper service recovery despite being woken up middle of the night. It is just a hotel that values money but does not know how to give proper customer service. Will never recommend or come back again!

Basically, i was very impressed with Shabana. I booked superior room for period of stay 6 to 7 Aug 2022. However, she delightly gave me an upgrade to Deluxe. Though the room is on the first floor and does not consists of a window, the size of the room is bigger than Superior. There is a bidet in the toilet. However, the wash basin is next to the door. There is a bistro bar on the first floor. Non smoking rooms, not an issue for me. Smart TV that allows you to cast from the phone. Slight wifi issues but not an issue, as when you have unlimited data, just tether. Deluxe room consists of an extra bed. Seamless check-in as there is only 16 or 18 rooms in The Daulat. Not forgeting the small, cute swimming on the second floor. 8 mins walk from Little India MRT, 4 mins walk from Jalan Besar MRT. Alot of food options across the road. There is a liquor shop just across the road from the hotel. Well this review is right after check in as I am truly impressed with the customer service. I reckon those terrible reviews that I have read is from those very fussy travellers. This hotel is fuss free. Just rmbr to prepare $100 for security deposit either in Cash or Credit Card only.

It was the first hotel we stayed in after our 16+ hour flight into Singapore. We arrived early but could not be accommodated at that time so we left and came back several hours later. The room was nice, water in shower was a bit cold (but turned very hot later on). We did not notice too much noise but some from restaurant. Overall good location in Little India.

Singapore must make it a crime to operate such a dirty, dingy hotel! All the photos in review are fakes! The actual is nowhere close ! The paint on the walls in the room were peeling off. Molds in the toilet ceiling, and every corner of the room is dusty. The floor were slimy! There were boisterous crowds hanging outside the hotel that as a single traveler, I didn’t even dare step out of my room. 3 star for this hotel is overrated.

We booked 6 rooms in Daulat hotel as we were holding a family function in Singapore. We house our relatives in Daulat hotel and was assisted by Shasheed at the reception. It was a decent hotel and within walking distance to Serangoon road. Shasheed was very polite and handle our request very well. He made sure all our guest got what they want throughout 27 & 28 May 2022. The room was clean according to our family members mostly from Malaysia. The setback was only no parking lots for the drivers but other than that all was fine. Thanks Shasheed.

The room was filthy, with traces of the previous occupants - a few dark tea cup stains by the bedside, a half-used toilet paper roll by the mirror, dust everywhere. The room design itself is small, with low functionality and comfort. For eg, the 2 person room had only 1 chair which was half-spoiled... there was no where to sit except the bed. The blanket was as thin as the sheet. There was only 1 toilet roll that was never refilled throughout the stay.

I absolutely hated this hotel. Not at all as pictured on the web. Those photos are of the neighbouring hotel Calmo, just down the road. Was breakfast included at that location? No idea, staff made no mention of it. There is no restaurant at this location. Roof top pool? Again, I was never told such a thing existed and I doubt it does. Staff were hit and miss, Winnie was lovely but as a solo female traveler I felt very creeped out by the male staff member who would sit out front drinking all day with his friends and ask me to come drink with them. Made me feel uncomfortable coming and going. Not once was my room cleaned, sheets changed, towels changed or rubbish emptied in 5 days. I had to ask for toilet paper twice. Would not recommend.

Upon check-in on 29 Aug, there was a lift breakdown in the hotel and the reception couldn't get the vendor to fix it on the day itself or the day after. As I came with my 2 yo daughter in a stroller and the room that was assigned to me was on the third floor, you can imagine how inconvenient it was for me that I had to request for assistance to bring the stroller and my bags up to the room. This incident marred my experience even before stepping into the room. As I was in a desperate need to unwind/getaway, I just booked the remaining room available (the loft room) via Agoda at a non-refundable rate, even when there were no photos shown of the room in the first place. If I'd known, I would have picked another room because the loft room wasn't suitable for small children. There weren't enough safeguards to prevent children from falling over at the bed area. Cons: Main door of room 303 needs to be shut by force. Water seeping into the main area after shower. Aircon temperature cannot be controlled manually. Soundproofing is bad. Noises can be heard along the corridor. Pros: Room is modern and tasteful. Price is cheaper than most hotels in Singapore. Hotel comes with a small swimming pool (although it's not yet approved to reopen) Location is very near to the MRT.
