When Iwas rented a hotel room or vacation rental always get the room, more than expected. And stay at this hotel was the first experience getting a room that was not expected. Did not feel like being in hotel rooms but the older rooms are newly repainted but not from professional ,maybe the old paint not cleaned first but directly...

Location : you have to walk about 10-20 mins from nearest MRT Station. There's lot of food courts and shops around. Not recommended for staying with parents or family since there's lot of prostitute at some nights around Geylang. I used Uber Taxi to reach airport and it was so cheap from here! Price : Good! Place/Room : Great! Wide...

This hotel is passable (but only barely) if all you need is a bed to crash for a few hours (say, if you are waiting to catch a flight). The hourly charges are pretty cheap. If you intend to stay for anything longer than a few hours, you can find much better budget options in the same price range. Pros:...

I aim for this to be a fair review so will start with a positive: the staff are very helpful and after booking a three night stay, refunded us happily after deciding to only stay one night. Now on to the negatives... This hotel is effectively a place for prostitutes to operate from. We didn't realise when we checked in...

You know you're in a dubious hotel when you arrive and the entrance is surrounded by prostitutes and the rates are displayed by the hour... there was a constant check in of couples looking for an hour away and prostitutes with their clients, why else would you rent by the hour? Saying that it was much quieter in the morning,...

Staying in Geylang

Neighbourhood Profile
Geylang
Only a short journey from Singapore’s sparkling and polished city centre, Geylang is a world away. Here in one of the least touristy areas of Singapore, visitors are privy to an unfiltered glimpse of Singapore life. On Sunday afternoons, migrant workers gather in Geylang to let off steam after a tough week. At the eastern end of Geylang Road, families and friends happily enjoy picnics. By contrast, at the western end, a more colourful side of Singapore can be seen, as street workers mingle with Sunday revelers in outdoor coffee shops. Take a friend, grab a beer and a local meal (frog porridge, perhaps?), and settle in to enjoy the show.
