Very bad experience. Hotel amenities are badly maintained. AC not working properly also cleanliness not maintained properly. When we enter the room it smells badly. Many basic problems with this hotel like washroom door lock was not present. Toilet paper are missing, warm water in bathroom. Avoid this hotel

Needed somewhere inexpensive to stay in Singapore for a couple of nights & Geylang does the job for me. Hotel was nothing spectacular, room was nothing special, but clean enough & everything worked,A/C,shower & a clean bed, easy walk to find food,& about 10-15mins from Kallang MRT. I am fully aware that Geylang is the red light district,so have no issues in staying... More

We were shocked when we arrived at the hotel to find half naked girls and dodgy looking fellas milling around the entrance and the street outside the "hotel", there happens to be a brothel right across the road. The hotel itself operates under 2 different names, "Hotel 101" and "Home Suite View Hotel" so beware. Check in took 15-20mins even... More

The location is situated on a red light district! I do not recommend this if you have kids and group of ladies only..prostitutes are everywhere especially on this hotel, they stay just outside of it. The receptionist is approachable and speaks english, lobby is small and doesnt hve enough chairs for people waiting for check in. Choose rooms on the upper... More

What the hotel lacked in many amenities (thin towels, no soap, no aesthetics) was compensated by their accommodating, friendly and helpful staff , special mention is their front desk personnel MR. Rashiteen.

Somehow, I dont understand how this hotel got to have its good rating when. 1. Rooms are definitely crampy and unclean 2. Comfort room tub is slippery and doorlocks malfunction often. To be fair, if you are okay with the above limitations, some good points in this hotel include a good steady pressure in water, a functioning water heater and... More

The front desk staff attended to us the moment we arrived by a cheerful greeting. She facilitated our fast check-in when I showed her my booking in my tablet. Very friendly lady and accommodating. The room is spacious with bath tub and hot and cold shower is functional. Slippers were not provided. The neighborhood is quiet. The hotel seems to... More

Staying in Geylang

Neighbourhood Profile
Geylang
Only a short journey from Singapore’s sparkling and polished city centre, Geylang is a world away. Here in one of the least touristy areas of Singapore, visitors are privy to an unfiltered glimpse of Singapore life. On Sunday afternoons, migrant workers gather in Geylang to let off steam after a tough week. At the eastern end of Geylang Road, families and friends happily enjoy picnics. By contrast, at the western end, a more colourful side of Singapore can be seen, as street workers mingle with Sunday revelers in outdoor coffee shops. Take a friend, grab a beer and a local meal (frog porridge, perhaps?), and settle in to enjoy the show.
