Beautiful hotel located right next to the downtown area (easy walk or subway). The restaurant was excellent and the pool deck was a welcome reprieve from the heat (it was blazing hot when I was there).
We had used Hilton points to reserve a base deluxe room and learned at check-in that you can only be upgraded one level as an Honors benefit. We chose to pay the difference (approx $50/night) in order get a superior room that would qualify for...More

More of a mini city than a neighbourhood in the traditional sense, the iconic Marina Bay aims to dazzle and entertain visitors of all kinds. This is the Singapore found in glossy brochures, featuring a world-class hotel, casino, shops, restaurants, bars, and other attractions all geared towards pure entertainment. The SkyPark at Marina Bay Sands provides a stunning view of the city, a must-see photo
opportunity for visitors and locals alike. The ArtScience Museum always has a top-quality exhibition, and Gardens by the Bay is a fascinating manifestation of the government’s vision of Singapore as a “city in a garden”. Enticing Marina Bay is well worth a visit.

Sorry - forgot to answer the rest. You don’t need access to both. Until renovations are done HH members get access to Executive Lounge regardless of room category. For better views then book Executive Level and only ask for Bay View room. Honestly - if you can afford it and want a gobsmacking view then get a Bay View room at the Mandarin Oriental and include breakfast in the rate. Absolutely the best buffet in town. Extensive gourmet food from so many countries + fresh juice bar, amazing French pastries, etc.
