Detailed Reviews
Was there for a mini gathering(buffet at Cafe2000) with my friends from school days.
While waiting for all folks to “fall-in”, I sat at the cosy sofa seat at their lobby area; which personally felt that the place was pretty well-kept (clean and neat).
Staffs on duty were doing a great job in attending us when we reached, and was satisfied with their vast variety of food and beverages.
Our plates were changed out pretty consistent; attentive servers.
Lifts and washrooms were pretty clean, w/o odor which some hotel might faced due to high usage + little maintenance during peak hours (evening time).
Overall, this is a great place to be recommended for simple gathering (accessible to all, be it private or public transport).
Would consider having a short getaway staycation if my work schedule allows.

Firstly, I’ve got to say that this is one of the best hotpots I’ve ever eaten.
The variety is just alright but the food was really fresh. They also have a prawn station where they cook it fresh from the tank, was quite cool and taste amazing! Had to pay extra $5 for the mala soup base and I didn’t regret it. Also, my family had so much fun making my our omelette with the egg machine!
Theres also a variety of desserts such as cakes and ice cream and my favourite has got to be the nyonya kueh and the durian puree! These two desserts really hit beyond my expectations. Considering a steamboat restaurant, they really did a good job!
Also not to forget, the best part is definitely the exceptional great service by the Manageress and crew. We don’t have to ask for our used plates to be cleared nor water to be refilled. The Manageress was also very patient and smiley with all our questions and requests! Overall very good teamwork my family is very happy to be served by them!
Will come back again, definitely worth the price!

Food was fresh and good spread. Despite being served and not able to help ourselves at the buffet spread, our enjoyment wasn't compromised. Great service and special mention to Fairuz. He's not only attentive and ensure empty plates are cleared, he always ensure drinking cups are top up with water whenever there's no more plates to clear from tables. The overall experience is excellent!!!

My experience with M hotel has been more than 10 years with mostly club room stay. I have been witnessing the service is getting less competitive as compared to others. I would say my recent stay is the worst club experience ever. Please let the guest know in advance if the hotel club lounge is under renovation and DO NOT charge the guest 'club' price. The temporary club place is located at the ground floor tea house with very limited drinks and snack offered. Cocktail food also very limited plus the service is lousy.
Nevertheless, I should give some credit to room condition which is relatively comfort still. Initially I was thinking to praise the housekeeping but I recalled the in-room light bulb was malfunctioned and I put a note to change but never. Thus, a few nights at reading order was a bit dim and not bright.

The worst experience I ever had in the hotel/restaurant in Singapore. As a club member, I checked in on 1 Dec 2019 and proceeded to the restaurant right next to the lobby, Tea Bar to redeem the complimentary welcome drinks. The waitress named Ana was the one came and served us, informing that the restaurant was full house at that time and also we can’t order the drinks and have them at the lobby. Hence I waited at the lobby for 20 mins and went back to the restaurant as there were 2 tables of customer just left. We sat down at one of the table near to the window and ready to order the drinks, few minutes later the waitress (Ana) came to tell us the table was already reserved and “chased” us to another table (which is also next to the window) in a rude way. I replied that I did not find any reservation sign or she did not came to inform us when we sat down, hence I told her that we wish to continue to sit at that place as we already settled down. She was pissed off and showed attitude to us with a black face and went to the reception counter to “complaint” and leave all the customers at the restaurant. By the time she came back, I raised my hand with eye contact with her, and told her we would like to order and get her to clean the tables. She looked at us as ignoring me at all, and proceeded to clean other table. This was the very bad experience in a 5 stars hotel/restaurant and I will never expect the low service level provided by M Hotel. I proceeded to reception counter to request to talk to the manager on duty, Mr Saravanan and the F&B manager (a Chinese guy but I forgot the name). We requested the explanation by Ana and confront together with us, and she was again showing attitude which I think both managers weren’t able to manage her to talk to us. The F&B manager was kind enough to bring us to the opposite restaurant to get our complementary drinks and explaining this was unacceptable and he will take the necessary action afterward. By the time we leave the Tea Bar, our table remained not cleaned and she was hiding inside the counter. I will never ever stay in M Hotel again and hope the hotel will take this seriously and to re-train the problematic staff, ensure to recruit only the qualified employees in future.

There are 100's of hotels in Singapore, this one isn't one you need to stay at!
There was no hot water when I was there, it was freezing cold. On the 18th floor, the staff said to run the water in the shower, tub, etc. Never warmed up. The location is in the financial district, no need to stat in this area unless you are working close by.
I went to change money and the reception person pointed to an ATM didnt speak, just pointed. What customer service!

Before COVID, I used to come with my family. It's a pity after 1 month of re-opening, we are hit with Phase 2 (Phase 1.5 actually). The meat dishes are better than before, however for non-beef eaters, you are left with Chicken & Lamb dishes as this restaurant is now hall certified. But on another note, this restaurant moves 1 step further into being more inclusive to our muslim friends.
The service is good. I liked the new format of ordering through the servers compared to the old normal where the food usually becomes a scary sight after the other customers had worked on them. The presentation of the platters are appetising.
The servers are friendly as well. Do not hesitate to request for a pair of gloves to peel your prawns and raw food before going into the pot. It protects your hands from the fishy smell after you get home.
Overall, I like the new format and the service as usual. If not for the new heightened measures, I will be back with my family and friends.

Came for halal steamboat buffet dinner on a Sat night.
Despite being a busy dinner service, chef Boz continuously went round the tables to engage with the dinner crowd, & ensured everything was perfect.
Our hostess for the night Nazryn, was extremely professional and proactive.
Nazryn ensured everything was perfect.
Drinks were topped up proactively, dishes cleared expeditiously and she comfortably engaged in small talks with us, making it a very comfortable and enjoyable dining experience!
Will definitely return with friends and family.
Thank U Nazryn & Chef Boz for being such a gracious Host & Hostess!
Wonderfully yummylicious steamboat with exceptional service!

Im a regular visitor diner at M hotel , use Eatigo to book either Cafe2000 or The Buffet .
Outstanding service , cheerful staff and nice food , (this is before )but now rare service ,not always smiling and empty food .
Lack of service , can only see 1 or 2 staffs running here and there busy for clearing plate . slow top up foods and also no more roasted beef at about 8 plus , see few chef cooking in the kitchen , maybe not enough chefs to produce foods .
In this season , heard the management tighten staffs to help low in business .
However the restaurant is in operation , we should enjoy the foods and the service , as we still pay the same price .
So disappointed . Not enjoyable at all .

Had booked this hotel for a 3 nights stay-over.
I got a room on the 18th floor. The room was situated at the street side and a lot of noise from the traffic was audible in the room.
Soon started to annoy me. I put in my earplugs trying to fall asleep, but that didn’t help much, so I couldn’t get any decent sleep.
Next day I asked for a quieter room. It took some time at the reception to check if possible and get the new room organized. The new room was at the 24th floor and on the other side of the hotel. My hope getting this time a decent sleep vanished straight after opening the door.
Turned out the room was situated facing the highway with even more traffic noise. On top of that there was a construction side close by where they worked 24/7. So, trucks coming and going all the time having the warning signal on each the time when backing up. That signal carried into my room very clearly even more annoying than the traffic noise.
So situation was even more worse.
In the morning I checked out. Initially the wanted to charge me for the fully booked period, but after some discussion they just charged me for the first two nights.
The only thing positive was the comprehensive breakfast, but that one is quite expensive too.
The bed cushions (there are 4 of them) are too thick. I guess between 20 and 25 cm thick. If one sleeps on its side than the cushion should be letting your head rest in a position that it levels with your back bone. With these it was forced into a big angle resulting in neck pain in the morning.
What I don't understand is the reason for having 4 bed cushions. The hotel motivates people not to ask to exchange the towels every day out of view on the environment. Then why putting in 4 cushions which require the covers to be cleaned daily (?) as well ? And then, one is already too thick to rest on.
If you just have 4 cushions for the appearance, then better to have a mix with thinner ones.
Logically speaking 4 thinner ones makes more sense to me.
If people like thick ones (I cannot imagine, but anyway) then can put two on top of each other.

I see no problem with this. Although a "business" hotel with lots of meetings/seminars etc going on for tourists it is relaxed. But smart shorts are good!
I guess not. You have to call them.
No there are no balconies or windows to open
It’s far from the firework. So you can’t see from the window. You should take a metro to the bay. (I take metro to “Citi Hall EW13) and watch firework from the public park there, it ‘s not close to firework but less crowd.)
