Had a fabulous time at Mondrian Duxton. Made a new friend Andrea who helped me with the check in. The room is just perfect. Great design, the arch, the colours, the simple yet sophisticated design,the quirky furniture all added up to a perfect stay. Minutes from 3 train stations and situated in a whimsical neighbourhood among quaint heritage shophouses with cafes and restaurants. I took several long walks around the neighbourhood and spent time at several cafes. Will be back for another stay.

We moved here after a bad experience with a neighboring hotel. It saved our honeymoon!
The Mondrian is sleek, lush, and contemporary. Everywhere you look there's luxe drapery, green velvet, a shiny arches. The whole vibe is very relaxed, upscale, sexy. We hear this is a fairly new hotel in town, and it looks it!
The staff is incredible. Everyone is on top of their game, starting with the attendants at the front entrance. We hiked over lugging our bags in the muggy heat, and upon entering they were promptly whisked away and we were escorted onto the elevator to the third floor lobby. Check in was a breeze, and as it was only 11:00am they stashed our luggage for us until our room was ready.
The room was beautiful. We opted for one of their more basic Duxton rooms so we could splurge on fine dining, but let me tell you these "basic" rooms are very nice! The same sleek finishes and cozy velvet welcomes you inside. Everything was lovely, relaxing shades of white, beige, and deep emerald green. Everything was absolutely spotless. The bed, pillows, and linens are insanely comfortable. We chose a King room with a View, and our window overlooked a sea of pretty red tile roofs and glass skyscrapers beyond. While we didn't partake of the minibar, it has a great selection. The toiletries are actually rather nice quality too, and I typically hate hotel shampoo.
We were packed full of plans for our three-day stay in Singapore, so we never did make it up to the rooftop pool. We were interested in the Jungle Ballroom on the third floor, but the dress code required "evening chic" and we had 't packed anything beyond "smart casual". I don't know if they actually enforce this. We did stop in Christina's on the ground floor twice - once for drinks and once for breakfast. Everything was excellent, and I especially suggest you order the Asam Boi cocktail - its unlike anything I've ever tasted!
We can't wait to return to Singapore for a longer stay, and when we do we're booking the Mondrian. And we'll try one of their suites next time!

The Mondrian is a new hotel that I wanted to check out since my home was under renovation, and so I booked a 4 day 3 night stay at the Mondrian. The room was lovely and the shower had good pressure and temperature. I often have trouble sleeping but the lovely king bed, comfortable pillow and the blackout curtains helped me get 3 nights of perfect sleep. Since I was working from the hotel, I kept my room on DND in order to attend all my meetings. On occasion, I would run into this housekeeping lady in the corridor, who always took the effort to ask me if I was missing anything from my room. What a gem!
I also have especial commendations for the breakfast and the team that runs the Bottega di Carna, where we have breakfast. The food is always fresh and warm and the condiments always topped up. The breakfast area looks out over a garden and a pond, which is exceptionally gorgeous in the drizzling rain. The staff there were extremely friendly and attentive, and always ready with a smile - Lili, Jenny, Morris, Kif'ah and Vinesh - thank you for making my stay an exceptional one!

I recently stayed at the Mondrian Singapore Duxton and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. While the hotel is new, there were several significant issues that greatly impacted my stay.
1. Lack of Body Wash: Upon entering the shower, I discovered that the body wash dispenser was completely empty. I immediately called the front desk to address the issue, there was no apology. A staff member was sent to investigate. To my surprise, the staff member seemed skeptical of my claim and attempted multiple times to dispense the body wash, only to confirm that it was indeed empty. However, when the staff member stepped into the shower to further inspect the situation, the water on the floor turned black. This was a concerning and unsanitary experience that added to my disappointment.
2. Noise Level from the Bar: As someone who values a peaceful and restful sleep, I was deeply disappointed by the excessive noise coming from the bars located downstairs. The loud and noisy environment made it nearly impossible to sleep soundly This lack of consideration for guests seeking a tranquil environment greatly detracted from the overall experience.
3. Small and Crowded Swimming Pool: The swimming pool at Mondrian Singapore Duxton turned out to be smaller than expected. Moreover, it was quite crowded, especially in the afternoon. This made it challenging to find a spot to relax and enjoy the pool facilities. I had to check out at 12nn, but the pool only opens at 11am. When I stay at Pan Pacific Orchard the other day, the pool opens from 7am, allowing more time.
I hope that the management takes these concerns seriously and works towards improving these aspects to ensure a more enjoyable experience for future guests.

This hotel is absolutely top notch. Situated in a lovely area, Duxton, close to loads of amazing bars and restaurants. Chinatown is a 5 minute walk away as is Maxwell Hawker Centre. The rooms here are small but very modern and very clean. There is an iron and ironing board and a hair dryer provided in each room. If you’re coming from the UK, you don’t need any adaptors as Singapore has the same 3 pin plug adaptors as we have and work off the same voltage. Bathroom is lovely, rainfall shower is wonderful and the shower gel, shampoo and conditioner provided (Malin and Goetz) is really nice.
Breakfasts are exceptional. Loads of variety catering for everyone.
The rooftop pool is wonderful and open until 11pm. If you’re too hot, you can sit in the beautifully air conditioned Canyon Club and get drinks and snacks. You need to book the pool cabanas in advance (for free) as there are only 8 but there also sun beds and chairs available. The pool, though small, comes up to around my shoulder height at the deepest (I’m 5’6”). The views are incredible and we were lucky enough to coincide with the rehearsals for Singapore’s 59th birthday since they became an independent state. The fireworks were brilliant to watch from the pool.
We went to the restaurant ‘Christina’s’ located in the lobby of the hotel once. It was nice but obviously more expensive than if you venture out a little and there is plenty of bars, restaurants and cafes within easy walking distance.
The staff at the hotel are all so lovely and can’t do enough to help you.
Staying at Mondrian Singapore Duxton was such an amazing experience and if I ever return to Singapore, I would most definitely stay here again.

Wanted to share our encounters at various touch points within the hotel and the persons that made our stay a meaningful and memorable one-
Wonderful Mondrian shophouse suite experience: Tok, Joanna, Haley, Neesha and team for ensuring a wonderful end-to-end experience from smooth check in to the stay itself and to the time we departed. We were greeted and brought to a resting room while awaiting for the finishing touches in our Mondrian Shophouse suite. Service was always warm and impeccable and we applaud the front desk and guest relations team for the attention to detail and attentiveness to our needs. The suite was amazing and it was such a joy celebrating a special occasion inside with its high ceiling with clean lines and not to mention all the lovely celebratory touches.
Restful experience at the Cabana, Canyon club: Honey and team was attentive and check in from time to time, ensuring we were comfortable and having a good time!
Delicious Breakfast as Bottega Di Canna: The breakfast team was attentive to our needs and very considerate when arranging for our requests. Did not get the name of the wait staff on the morning of 23rd Oct, but everyone did great to make us a delicious breakfast and provided an all round delightful experience. Also happen to bump into Raymond who made us feel so welcomed and completed the experience with a photo op at the restaurant.
Everywhere we went, the team always makes the day brighter with warm smiles and a hello that makes Mondrian like a second home for us. We will be back soon!

I would recommend this hotel. It’s an elegant hotel in a good location in Chinatown. The nearest MRT station (Maxwell) is a 5 minute walk away and you can hop on a very clean train to gardens by the bay which is only 3 stops away.
The decor in the hotel is great. The service is excellent. All the staff are really friendly and helpful and go out of their way to make everything smooth and simple. The roof top bar is a nice spot for a drink in the evening. We didn’t have time to go in the pool but it looked amazing.

We purchased a 4 night stay on luxury escapes which gave us a great extras such as breakfast and a nightly drink. Overall our stay was 5 star. The hotel is very thoughtfully designed - the fixtures, finishes and decor are stunning - leathers, natural stone, scenting and thoughtful lighting make this mid sized hotel a luxe experience. The daily breakfast is lush - so much to choose from! The staff are all so kind and accommodating particularly Izhar on checkout and Lina in Christina’s bar (she gave us an awesome local Singaporean restaurant recommendation) but really, ALL the staff were outstanding. Our king bed room on the 11th floor had a good city view. It was small with floor to ceiling glass but perfectly proportioned and we had everything we needed. The only thing to fault or note (for me personally) was the very hard mattress - if you like a super firm bed you will love it. The location is actually pretty great once you get your bearings - 1/2 hr wander to the bay, 1/2 hr wander to the river, Chinatown is just a 10 min stroll too. 2 MRT (undergound rail) stations are only 5 minutes walk away (Outram Park and Maxwell). There are plenty of small little bars and restaurants all around the hotel - you are totally spoiled for choice. We highly recommend The Mondrian!
