I was on a vacation for my birthday. And it went good though. The hotel's location is good because it is in the heart of China Town and it is just like a minute or two walk away from the MRT. There are lots of food chain and restaurants close to the hotel. The staff are all friendly though the...

Positive: - perfect location: few min to MRT, many restaurants around; - clean rooms; - very helpful front desk (extra water, taxi arrangement, printing the flight tickets); - coffee and sleepers in the room; -fast and free wifi; - price of USD65 was very attractive. Negative: - the bath tube only in suite type of rooms..

I stayed in this hotel when transit in Singapore. The hotel is just as you can expect from a B&B, but the room is clean and efficient. You can easily find food around the hotel, easy access and overall it's a nice experience.

The Porcelain hotel is fairly good not great. I stayed here just 2 nights in August and I can conclude: + Pro: good location, nearby the MRT station, not too far from Changi airport. Very well located to access to tourist sites. room was clean and neat. + Neg: my room is too small, probably the smallest room I ve...

I stayed in the Porcelain for 2 nights, and quite frankly I was out the whole time, only came back to sleep. Location is great, it's about 20-25min from the airport, taxi cost me about 25 SGD from the airport. It's 2min walking distance from the Chinatown MRT, and maybe 7-10min walking to Clarke Quay area. Lots of street food...

Needed to book three rooms for family for three nights, and didn’t want to blow our budget on hotel stays. After extensive research on Expedia, Kayak and TripAdvisor, I decided upon Porcelain Hotel in Chinatown, for several reasons: >> I didn’t want to spend >$100/night and didn’t want to stay in a hostel. With advanced booking, I was able to...

After seeing some pretty nice pictures of the hotels best suite rooms, we booked in for a week at $200 a night. Although quite expensive we thought it best to pay good money to get a really nice place. Check in staff were not the friendliest, room was not cleaned properly on arrival but to be fair they rectified immediatly....

Hotels in Singapore tend to be either very expensive or very poor quality. Porcelain Hotel is a nice middle ground. The rooms aren't cheap and they are small (although the photos do a good job of showing what the rooms are like), but they aren't any more expensive or small than comparable hotels in major western cities. However, the location...

Place is a bit dark. Room is small but quite clean. The hotel location is convenience and close to China town, MRT and bus stop which ease for us to find food and travel to any attraction places in Singapore.

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown is a classic combination of colourful sights, enticing smells, and sometimes startling sounds. The precinct is unique, however, in its blending of religions and cultures. A Hindu temple, an Islamic mosque, and a Chinese Buddhist temple sit almost side by side. This sense of cultural harmony continues as you venture just outside of Chinatown to the nightlife areas of Club Street and Duxton Hill. There you’ll mingle with Singapore’s multicultural residents at the modern bars and restaurants dotting the bustling streets. An afternoon in and around Chinatown will leave you culturally enlightened, well fed, and loaded with souvenirs. In the evening, reward yourself with a well-deserved cocktail as the locals come out to play.
