Looking for a good shower and a comfortable bed in a place where all the basic amenities are working well? How about proximity to the MRT and affordable food? Walking distance to the CBD? Look no further. This is the hotel. However, I got a small room and it was a bit cramped.

I chose Porcelain Hotel mainly on a price point basis and proximity to Club St, Amoy St (for bars and restaurants) and Marina Bay for jogging. I was pleasantly surprised to find it excellent value for the money. Yes, it is in Mosque St. which is a backpacker's hostelry area, but it is a very nice little hotel with pocket...

My brand new $65 earrings went missing after my first night. I am assuming they were vacuumed by housekeeping but this really isn't a good excuse. I emailed the hotel and stopped at the front desk twice, no response whatsoever. :(

Was looking for a reasonable valued hotel in Singapore and this came up so I made the booking. The room is extremely small, no doubt but I was looking to spend my time exploring Singapore anyway so that wasn't a big deal. So if you are looking for something reasonably priced, in an easy location and only want the room...

Convenient location close to MRT (train), reasonably priced (singapore is expensive overall), clean and comfortable. Also close to many tourist highlights including the marina, eateries, shopping malls. Rooms are small but cleverly laid out to maximize space. Large shower with rain-shower head. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Looking for a place to stay in a central area and don't having to pay a fortune the Porcelain is an ok choice. One thing if you have a lot of luggage take some of the bigger rooms as the standard ones are tiny!

I have stayed there twice with my girlfriend. The rooms are small but smartly designed to make use of every inch. Clean rooms with comfy beds, wifi and aircon were working good. Only think I didn't like, there is no separation between the toilet and the shower so the toilet gets wet. The location is great, with lots of restaurants,...

This is one of the best cheaper hotels I have stayed in on this extended trip. It is around the corner from Chinatown subway station and there is only one change when coming from Changi Airport. The Singapore subway system is excellent and safe ($2.60 one way) The hotel rooms are small but scrupulously clean, great bed, pillows, covers, good tv and...

Looked and booked it online. Although the rooms were very tiny and touching the road, it was comfortable to stay here. We had an early morning flight into singapore and the manager was kind enough to give us an early check in couple of hours before the standard time. Pros of the hotel - Located next to MRT, lots of...

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown is a classic combination of colourful sights, enticing smells, and sometimes startling sounds. The precinct is unique, however, in its blending of religions and cultures. A Hindu temple, an Islamic mosque, and a Chinese Buddhist temple sit almost side by side. This sense of cultural harmony continues as you venture just outside of Chinatown to the nightlife areas of Club Street and Duxton Hill. There you’ll mingle with Singapore’s multicultural residents at the modern bars and restaurants dotting the bustling streets. An afternoon in and around Chinatown will leave you culturally enlightened, well fed, and loaded with souvenirs. In the evening, reward yourself with a well-deserved cocktail as the locals come out to play.
