Just visited Singapore with 11 friends for a golf trip and we decided to stay at the PARK22 Hotel. Price, Location and facilities were pretty good. Depending on which room you received probably depends on your experience, as some were quite small, whilst others quite large - not as if you spend too much time in your room. Way too much...

Terribly small room. No shampoo provided. Very pricey for the room that is provided. We had to ask separately for the towels. Ac doesnt work properly. Only advantages wifi connection and it is very near to MRT station. Avoid your stay here.

Very small room with no windows so it did smell a bit musty if the AC wasn’t on. But, I didn’t care much because the most important was that it was clean and it sure was. I only stayed 3 nights and the location was good. Staff was very friendly as well.

We didn't get the room we originally booked which supposedly had a balcony, instead we got a closet at the back of the hotel on the 3rd floor. It was quiet, none too clean and so tiny. The full sized bed was against the wall, about two square feet of floor between the bed and the bathroom and that was...

The single room I reserved was extremely small so be aware. Not really clean, both, room and bathroom, pretty shabby. So you should come back to the hotel just to overnight. Wi-Fi connection - good. The location - very convenient.

The Park 22 Hotel is a basic hotel small but clean shoe box size rooms. But the location is great, it is clean, comfortable, and very low prices for Singapore in this area of the city. Why be 20 or 30 minutes from the heart of the city in a out lying room when you can stay here. It is...

So we have stayed in our fair share of bad places but this has been one of the most frustrating. Upon arrival and shown to our room we were hit in the face with cigarette smoke. The room stank! I went down to complain and the rude reception lady didn't even aplogise, or seemed surprised but said we could change...

This looked great online but in reality the room was like a cupboard - could not even open the door fully as the bed was in the way - hardly enough room to put a bag down the side of the bed - a supposed superior room with a window had a v small window blocked by a cupboard.....and the...

I just needed a bed and a shower for 4 nights. I chose this hotel based on price and location. It's a short walk to Outram Park train and a little bit longer to Chinatown st. I could have had a nicer experience in the Double room pictured above but I was travelling alone and didn't need the space. I...

I stayed here for 8 days in November 2016. PROS: (1.) Located in Chinatown, the best place to stay after the downtown area. (2.) Very close to 2 MRT stations. Both are at walking distances, (3.) Laundromat is very close to hotel. Hotel has NO washing/dry-cleaning service. (4.) Friendly, helpful manager and staff. Upgraded my room from a windowless tiny...

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown is a classic combination of colourful sights, enticing smells, and sometimes startling sounds. The precinct is unique, however, in its blending of religions and cultures. A Hindu temple, an Islamic mosque, and a Chinese Buddhist temple sit almost side by side. This sense of cultural harmony continues as you venture just outside of Chinatown to the nightlife areas of Club Street and Duxton Hill. There you’ll mingle with Singapore’s multicultural residents at the modern bars and restaurants dotting the bustling streets. An afternoon in and around Chinatown will leave you culturally enlightened, well fed, and loaded with souvenirs. In the evening, reward yourself with a well-deserved cocktail as the locals come out to play.
