I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. Staff were great and the facilities were nice. I loved the location in Chinatown and just a quick walk to the MRT. The atmosphere was a bit weird. Not a social place to meet other backpackers. Most were glued to an electronic device and didn't say hi. That being said, maybe I was just...

Stayed here for three nights at the start of my backpacking trip. Cheaper side of hostels in Singapore. Spotless, great location and the host was so informative! Only problem was that I was there at a very quiet time so not many people to meet but it got busier on my last day and everyone was really friendly.

close to subway; very quiet despite a pretty big dorm; well climatized; no shoes policy. electric door with card mechanism required to go in/out of the room. Not so useful as there s only one huge dorm, and the noise adds discomfort to those sleeping next to the door; air should be changed daily opening the windows for a bit....

The biggest edvantage of this hostel is it's localization. Chinatown for me is the nicest neighbourhood in Singapore - it's lively, colourfull and tasty!! The staff was amazing - always on pleace, always willing to help u.

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown
Chinatown is a classic combination of colourful sights, enticing smells, and sometimes startling sounds. The precinct is unique, however, in its blending of religions and cultures. A Hindu temple, an Islamic mosque, and a Chinese Buddhist temple sit almost side by side. This sense of cultural harmony continues as you venture just outside of Chinatown to the nightlife areas of Club Street and Duxton Hill. There you’ll mingle with Singapore’s multicultural residents at the modern bars and restaurants dotting the bustling streets. An afternoon in and around Chinatown will leave you culturally enlightened, well fed, and loaded with souvenirs. In the evening, reward yourself with a well-deserved cocktail as the locals come out to play.
