I stayed for 2 nights and it was a great experience! The room loosk modern industrial and I like it! The hotel is located within the Funan mall so this is a big plus! There's a Mcdonalds near the entrance, there's a foodcourt and supermarket as well. The hotel is walking distance to Clark Quay and City Hall. I would recommend this hotel!!

This hotel offers an apartment up to 4 rooms co-sharing concept. Well, honestly I don’t really get it. For us traveling on big groups we are very happy that the property offers 4 bedrooms apartments able to host 7 of us family traveling in one location. We Indonesians, love that!! Yet they don’t serve breakfast as part of the service, but they also provide complete kitchen utilities, so its good offer. They also offer hi-tech kind of living, such as fancy toilets and a huge screen but only projects what’s on your “android” phones. Kinda cool huh..but for me, this kind of set back, since me and my wife use Apple. A good LED screen with cable TV is what I was prefer, or place a smart TV is already savvy enough for me, if you know what I mean. Yet, in overall, yes, we love that establishment and look forward to stay there again when we travel with big groups, or maybe taking their 2 bedrooms?

Our social kitchen, Bond, on Level 5 is meant for all our residents to use and share. lyf is right above a mall so super convenient to buy food and all. mall has lotsa eateries and a supermarket. there are also cafes and also shops selling clothing. great mall to check out. rooms are really small but very modern and new. rooms are more suited for young groups of people due to its small size. bed wasnt the most comfortable either. do note standard rooms do not come with tv so bring along your own entertainment. general feel is that lyf is midway between a hostel and a hotel. there is a common kitchen on the lower floor to whip up your own meal. the reception area has tables and chairs for people to do their work. there are also washers and dryers at entrance of the hotel. Location is near capitol and cityhall mrt. my sister and i visited this hotel several times in nov/dec due to the low prices and good location. reception staff are friendly and welcoming. There is a very happy young vibe from the staff. parking is @ $17. we had no issue paying for parking but on our last visit, upon check out, we were told they ran out of parking tickets? hmmmm...$17 to begin with isnt even cheap given that we are guests of lyf and most accommodation provide complimentary parking. if there is a limit to the number of tickets lyf has for guests to purchase then they need to make it known so guests can decide to use other modes of transport. The parking charges would add to the cost significantly. without the $17 ticket, the 1 day parking charge would be more than $60. considering its slightly more than a $100 a night for the hotel, paying more than $60 for a day's parking just doesnt make sense at all.

I can’t praise this brand new hotel (concept) enough. I paid £90 per night and stayed in room 710 with a little view at the back. The reason I loved the place was the clean cool room that had all I needed. The water fountain, ironing board in the hallway and the Nespresso vendor machine in the lobby and of course the great staff. The hotel is so nice and for a small room it just had it all. No breakfast but lots of choice in the mall where the hotel is situated. There’s a massive communal kitchen and a gym but gym not ready yet. Great water pressure, USB plugs and sockets by the bed. I switched off the air con as cool enough. I only had one neighbour and didn’t experience any noise. You can wash your clothes in the mini launderette with dryer and dry clean steamer. Close to the underground and grab pick up
I’m already looking for flights to go back and stay at Lyf! And looking forward to trying another Lyf in Thailand or Philippines. I travel 6 months a year so quiet, nice hotels are important to me.

Compact, clean and cosy room. But toilet always wet cos cannot block shower water splash
No TV, no refrigerator, no bottle drink in room. Outside got refrigerator can share but put yr fd at yr own risk. Bottle drink can go downstairs buy got many shop. No TV, use handphone play until sleep.
Toothbrush, shaver, comb need ask counter
No housekeeping if short stay. Go counter ask for new towel and tissue paper
Look like got many long term people stay. Can see people cook and wash clothes like their own house.

It is disappointing to know that you did not enjoy your stay with us the last time around and we do apologize for any shortfall in offerings that you might have expected during your stay. As guest service is our utmost priority, please allow us to take some time to address your feedback. On the complimentary water bottles, we do not provide single use plastic bottles, as part of our environmental commitment to reducing plastic waste. We adopt a similar principle for single use amenities such as toothbrushes, shaving kits and combs and even though we do not put them in our guest rooms, they are available upon request at our Say-Hi (reception) counter. In all guest rooms, water jugs and tumblers are provided for our guests. Two common pantries located on every guest floor which encompasses a hot/cold water dispenser, common mini-fridge and microwave are for all guests to use and share. Alternatively, you may also head down to Bond, our social kitchen on L5 to top-up your water, heat up your food or whip up an entire feast! To share more about Bond, it is meant for all guests, here on both long and short stays with us. We do understand that during high occupancy periods, the fridges might be completely full. To mitigate this, we ensure that our housekeeping team does a weekly sweep of the fridge to ensure that no unlabeled items and/or anything smelling funky is discarded, to make space for other users. We do recognise this as an area of improvement for us and have definitely taken the feedback on board for upcoming lyf properties as well, thank you so much for highlighting. As we are a co-living service residence, light housekeeping is done once every 3 days and full housekeeping is done once a week. In between if you needed any amenity top-up or have any queries, you are always welcomed to approach our friendly lyf Guards at our Say Hi! counter who would be happy to assist. Our rooms are purposefully designed to ensure convenience and functionality. We hear your on your meaningful feedback with regards to there not being a separation between the toilets and shower and this design element is definitely something we will look into for upcoming properties as well, thank you for highlighting. lyf is indeed home to many residents who have chosen to stay with us long-term! From doing their best work at Connect our coworking social lounge, putting their Masterchef skills to the test at Bond our social kitchen or getting in a workout at Burn our social gym, lyf enables you to live, work and play in a dynamic environment and plug into a community of like-minded individuals which is something our long-stay residents seek and value! I booked a staycation recently at Lyf because I really like the “hostel” concept with communal areas like the kitchen and mini gym area. The design concept of the hotel is also fresh and edgy.
The kitchenette in the room was very well equipped and the bathroom was very roomy as well.
However, the room (1116) I was given did not have any views from the window as it was a corner room and the layout was not the same as the one shown in the picture. Instead of having a table for proper dining, It was a bar top carpentry which was just beside the bed. The space felt smaller than it was depicted on the web. Another thing to note was the whole of 11th floor did not smell very pleasant once you exit from the lift, perhaps there were uncleared trash at the common area.
Nonetheless, the service and stay were seamless and fuss free. Will be back again, but maybe I will put up request or note the next time I book!

When I come to this hotel , it was 2.30 pm. and I was impressed by the lobby which got tables and chairs.
I went to receptionist area , and check in was effortless. I went to the room, to look around. This room is nice and look like university student dorminatory. No TV? no problem as you can use your Ipad or laptop computer to watch Netfilx, Youtube, and other online movies .
Went to gym area. Got two exercise bikes but there is not my type of bike. and fun equipment called Hamster Wheel. You can run inside the wheel ,like hamsters. Best part is that 'you can spend long time in this hotel gym without any restrictions from hotel staffs . Their only requirement is you must follow the rules written on the wall.
During COV-19 period, other hotel gyms are closed, or being restricted, for example: you need to go to receptionist to register your name, have temperature taken, usage is maximum 1 hour. when 1 hour is up, the hotel staff will ask you to stop . When you want to go to swimming pool, you must register again and have temperature taken, maximum usage - 1 hour.
If you want more , then go to TFX mega gym which got whole lot of gym equipments , and a swimming pool. but it is not for kids to play with water, but for adults to swim to and fro like a sports men or sports women . This mega gym is restricted to Singaporean registered members which pay over S$200 a month. Hotel guests can only use these facilites at TFX for 2 hours after you pay entrance fee .
There is a kitchenette where you can prepare your own meals which you bought from supermarket within Funan Mall.
When you feel like going out for meal, there are plenty of restaurants, cafes , which you can get discount when you show your hotel room card to restaurants and cafes.
There is no coffee or tea packets in the hotel room but you can go to hotel lobby for Starbuck coffee at discount price. There is a Starbuck coffee vending machies and another Nespresso coffee vending machines

We got married in early Sep and to kick start our 1-week honeymoon, we booked a 1 night stay at Lyf@Funan with the “Movie & Stay Deal” at $188++. The receptionists were nice and professional and the facilities downstairs seems cool and cute. The receptionists also passed us 2 GV Super Passes and $40.00 GV F&B vouchers, which were part of the deal we signed up for.
However, when we went into the room (room 917), to our dismay, the room was really small and it looks like a hostel room. To be completely honest, I would say that SMU hostel room looks better than the room we saw. Even though the price of the room is in the decent hotel room range, there was no view at all and we could even catch a glimpse into the room next door.
We were really disappointed but we didn't want to make a scene. My husband went down to talk to the receptionist to see if we could cancel the room because it's really not suitable for a honeymoon stay but unfortunately, the booking cannot be cancelled because of the deal we sign up for. Even though we offered to return the GV passes and the GV F&B vouchers, they couldn't do it.
We had no other choice but to check out and booked another hotel to stay for that night. We had other booking at Ascott@Raffle Places (Lyf belongs to Ascott) and the experience was amazing, unlike the Lyf@Funan experience.
We tried to email Lyf and Ascott to ask them if they can make the experience less of a painful memory. After a while, Lyf offered us a complimentary upgrade to our One Of A Kind Plus (Studio) room, subject to availability if we made another booking with them. To this we decline because the experience at room 917 was to haunting that I actually feel uncomfortable stepping into Funan itself
So yeah... TLDR; we book a one night stay, the room is too small and has no view. We left immediately and we tried contacting them to get a refund but unfortunately, they can only offer us a free upgrade, subject to availability. Won't recommend this place for staycation/holiday.

This is a very interesting concept of place to stay even for your own travel or probably a short-term stay.
Without the room key card, you are recommended to download their app which can turned into a bluetooth device to open your room door.
As this is a co-living space, much of the facilities are sharing with others. Including the water dispenser (not in use now due to safety measures) and refrigerator.
Unfortunately the refrigerator was too small to accommodate everyone on the same floor. When I open, it is already filled with lots of stuffs from other rooms.
There’s common space where you could chill and chat. Compact version of gym space and even a full kitchen with all tools.
I got the One of the Kind room which oversee the opposite Fort Canning Park. Great to be greet by green just beside the window. The room was spacious enough to move around. No TV but there portable table that you could place on your bed to watch movie on your own device.
The toilet and shower room shared the same space, and there’s not door in between them. So the water will splash to the toilet when you shower.
This is definitely a great place for staycation as you could have your meal in Funan or go for some movies.

Stayed here a number of times so far and have quite a few upcoming multi-day bookings. Why? Good price, superb location, comfy bed, room though small, has a good use of space with their design, has rain shower, pretty clean generally and you can get almost anything downstairs in Funan. It's a different environment for me from working from home and office, I could have some time on my own for gaming and reading as well.
Checkin requires use of the mobile app, but if there are issues, physical keycard will be issued. I got used to the mobile app keycard. Side note: the lyf staff at checkin were really welcoming.
Though breakfast is not provided, you can make use of some of the F&B discounts in Funan for specific stores. There is also a self serving Starbucks machine (from $3) and a few vending machines near reception.
Take note there is no housekeeping if you are not staying more than 3 nights I think. But you can exchange towels at reception and also request for toothbrush. Or call if you are unsure.
One downside is I can't connect to wifi at times, had to try to re-connect a number of times, not sure if it is due to too many people connecting, would be great if wifi can be upgraded.
There are also really nice social spaces at level 4 and 5. But after some stays, not sure if some people hanging out around there are really hotel guests. It can get rather packed and at times noisy, though infrequent. Not a big issue as I just pass by. Side note: sometimes there are sirens as there is a fire station nearby, side note: it's sg's oldest fire station and is pretty famous for its architecture.
All in all, taking into account all aspects, I find Iyf a good value, even better when there is a promotion.
