Basically some of their customer service are very good and friendly, especially Ms. Michelle, my favorite,and Mr. Fazri. Their friendly and smiling service made our 2-weeks stay enjoyable but compared to their other colleague, especially a Customer Service, a woman named A*n who has no good manners, impolite at all and seems haven't learnt good hospitality yet. Her loud 'shouting' at us without started by any greeting ( Sir or Mdm), for just a bottle of water, ruined the comfort of our stay. Furthermore, the hotel manager is wise and very helpful.

Location was good, staff are friendly and helpful , Michelle was really remarkable and nice as well as the other receptionists. Balestier is a place where 24/7 restaurants are everywhere just a walk from the hotel itself. Tourists can get bus in my case I prefer to use grab Novena metro is the nearest MRT station . Very Access and there is a parking fir guests. It's only around 24 SGD from airport via grab.

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights during our trip to Singapore and we were resentful that we spent so much money on really poor accomodation.
The first room we were given had a used cigarette on top of the mirror in the bathroom, and the room smelt and looked dirty. I complained to reception, seeing as this is supposedly a 'smoke free' hotel and guests are fined for smoking in their rooms. Fortunately, they offered to give us a different room which was clean but still not great.
I describe the rooms as prison cells because they simply contain a double bed and a bathroom which has no shower cubicle or curtain; so the water soaks the entire bathroom. The rooms also have no windows and are very dark, small and basic. The corridors also make the hotel feel like a prison.
The standard of cleaning was also poor, as in both rooms there were clumps of black hair all around the floor by our bed which was gross.
The only positives of this hotel are that they have a bus stop right outside which takes you to Marina Bay and central areas (using the 130 & 145 services) and the rooms were quiet when we stayed.
We paid upwards of £75 a night over New Year for a hotel which felt like staying in a prison. I know that Singapore is an expensive place, but this really was a joke.
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone unless you are really desperate.

Checked in and was given a room in the 3rd floor, once open can sniff the mouldy smell of the room. No WiFi and TV was faulty. Terrible maintenance at first sight. Call for service and was told maintenance guy coming up, waited more than 20 mins and so frustrated, went to lobby to request for change of room. Room changed and smell was still mouldy and the picture hanging on the wall can be seen moulded. For a price of 80plus SGD , I can easily get a 4 to 5 star good hotel in nearby countries. This is what so called service standard of Singapore. Always was told it was a fine city, but with these people working in service line, it's a fine city with no level of service standard in the interior. Just proving on the exterior how good they are. Super bad impression of this hotel standard.

Value Hotel Balestier is very convenient for travellers and tourists alike. It has a nice location with a bus stop at front and convenient stores around the area. There is also a mall and hawker center nearby at a walking distance. Since public transportation is very nice in Singapore, you won't find any difficulty in going to places from the hotel. I would also like to commend and appreciate the service of John, Amsyari, and Michelle - whom is a fellow Kababayan (Pinoy). Michelle was very accommodating towards our questions and requests and it was an ease to communicate with the hotel staffs. The room is cleaned daily once guests are out and they also provide clean towels, toiletries, and complimentary tea and coffee on a daily basis. Same goes with bottled water. The hotel staffs made our stay in Value Hotel Balestier for the past 8 felt like home. Again, thank you for your service Value Hotel Balestier! Hope to visit SG again soon and stay in Value Hotel Balestier!

We've stayed here for 4D3N and it was pleasant. The room was cleaned everyday and provided new sets of towels/ toiletries and coffees. The staff/ receptionist especially Mr. Tommy and Thura (housekeeper)are accommodating and helpful. The location is very accessible since the bus station is just outside the hotel. The rooms are just a bit small.

The location of hotel is very convenient, the bus stop is in front of hotel and only a few stops away to Novena MRT Station. A lot of foodstalls around here. The staffs are very friendly. I was greeted with warm hospitality from the reception staff, Fazri and Azmi when I arrived. And John, the 3rd floor house keeper is very helpful, very elert to the needs of guest. I was looking for directions to the lift, and he pointed out to me immediately along the way. He tidies up my room nicely and act promptly to my request for extra pillow. Give them thumbs up for their efforts. 👍👍

it's our first time in singapore and they accommodate us for all our needs especially John and Fazri and his team was good when we check in. no problems and they were kind to let us borrow outlet adapter. For the rooms, it was spacious for 3 persons and they have free water bottles and hygiene kits in the room.

Despite having a confirmed reservation for 3 nights and reaching out to the hotel in advance to confirm the booking over more than a dozen calls , our experience upon arrival at the hotel is not good . The management displayed rudeness and insisted on rechecking the booking multiple times, causing a delay of over 30 minutes. Despite confirming the room allocation, they still claimed not to see the booking. The management's arrogant attitude and refusal to address the issue with the booking website shows poor customer service and an overall arrogant approach, making our stay disappointing.

My room cost S$89 for two... the room is quite small but has basic stuff. Airport transfer can be easily arranged by the hotel, but in Singapore, this is never a problem -- public transport is super convenient. The travel is about 20-30 mins during non-peak hours. Yes, you can pay on arrival - as I did.

You need to ask the hotel directly. I am a traveller who stayed there for a couple of day. When people have a flight during the day, they have a luggage rack they leave in the lobby until you leave. I do not see any room where they store luggage. Ask them.
There are more places to choose from in the Singapore area.
