Very pleasant stay in Ann Siang House. We chose the wellness suite, not for the wellness stuff, but for the nice location on the second floor, facing the beautiful historic street. Also for the large balcony. Unfortunately it was far too hot to sit outside, but the suite is so spacious that we didn’t miss it. Nicely furbished, very good bed and marvelous bathroom with toilet, bath, walk in shower and two bathroom sinks. The kitchenette comes with kettle, coffee machine, induction cooktop, microwave, small fridge and very few kitchenware. There was a saucepan and a frying pan, plates, cups, bowls and cutlery for two. No need to cook however, there are several restaurants in the hotel and the Maxwell Hawker center is just a few steps away. The minibar is free with soft drinks, sparkling and still water. There is a choice of coffee and teas. Nice and silent airco in the sleeping area and the living room. The bathroom has no airco, but we didn’t miss it. The suite was very clean, however the carpet showed a lot of stains. Depending from the moment of the day, we had very poor internet or no internet at all, but other moments we had a better coverage.
Breakfast is ok. There is no abundance, but the food is of good quality and there is everything one needs to start the day: good coffee, bread, eggs, sausage, brie, jam, muffins etc. We were warned there would be some noise from the street at night. It’s a lively street with restaurants, bars and terraces, so that’s normal. The noise is bearable during week days. Friday night was quite intense, with loud music, but at exactly 1:30 am the music stopped. Ann Siang house is a great place to stay. The staff is very friendly. We might come again another year.

My partner and I were celebrating his birthday, and we picked Ann Siang House for its chic interior design and location. The stay more than exceeded our expectation - we were able to check in early to the Active Studio, which had gym equipment, a king size bed with the most comfortable mattress I’ve slept on, and a complimentary minibar. The room was also tastefully decorated so we could celebrate the special occasion. Given the current situation with corona virus, the hotel adhered very strictly to regulations regarding social distancing, keeping guests’ safety as a top priority. Thank you very much for a wonderful stay - this has been perfect! Special thanks to Serene and Sandy for being extremely resourceful and kind in helping me organize this trip!

My favourite boutique hotel in Singapore. An old colonial house turned onto a hotel whose rooms are very well decorated. Bathrooms are clean and marvellous. One just likes to spend hours in the bath, shaving or making oneself face up. The area is great, near great restaurants and bars around Tanjong Pagar.

The staff, the decor, the art, the interior design is inspiring, fresh, and unique to Singapore. This is so much more interesting, and a way to get to know Singapore's cultural vibe downtown, then staying in a typical hotel. We LOVED our stay. The staff provided ear plugs because I was worried about being on a street near bars etc, but we didn't end up needing them. They also lit an aromatherapy oil candle in the room, next to the AWESOME massage chair. Breakfast was quaint and the terrace was lovely. We will definitely go back for another weekender at The Wellbeing Suite at Ann Siang House.

Ann Siang Hill was such a breath of fresh air, even though it's situated at the heart of Chinatown. It was a one-night staycation, but I thoroughly enjoyed the decor and comforts of the room. The old world charm is something you have to experience for yourself in their rooms. Each room has a different layout, which adds to the charm. The toilet is squeaky clean, so I felt very at home. Service is warm and excellent, rooms are quiet. Oh, and the best pizza in Singapore is located on the ground floor. I don't know what's lacking in this place! Thank you for the lovely memories! Ann Siang House is a stylish hotel in an amazing location, perfect for tourists and locals! we were welcomed so warmly on arrival and loved our spacious and well designed room with a view over the Chinatown shop houses. There is an awesome rooftop bar which we enjoyed in the evening after a wander round the local area. Breakfast was included and on point, delicious eggs, sourdough, muffins and rye bread with cheese and salamis. Would recommend for anyone who is looking for a escape to the city and a treat for themselves or their partner!

What I look for in a hotel is a comfortable bed, a quiet room, and a clean shower. Ann Siang house gets a 10 out of 10 in all of these. In addition there is a tremendous staff, a fantastic location, and very convenient access to the MRT allowing easy access to all of Singapore. The hotel is in little China and is about 100 meters from a fantastic food court with about 100 kiosks offering an amazing array of options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Both the metro stations Maxwell and Telok Ayer are about 3 minutes walk away and from there you can explore all of Singapore on its amazing public transportation system. This hotel is squeaky clean, very well maintained and has extremely comfortable beds. I also love the excellent water pressure and the quality of the soaps in the shower and bathroom. I would highly recommend this hotel for people who have stayed often enough at the old classic kinds of hotels and want a special experience to discover what Singapore is really like: namely an amazing, fantastically wealthy, clean, safe, beautiful city!

Greeted by friendly staff who showed me around the hotel lobby. Self help pantry and laundry available should any guest require. Feels like a home away from home. Rooms & common area are tastefully decorated comparable if not better than many branded hotels. And not to mention big plushy bed! Loving the way the hotel puts in effort to be eco friendly ( refillable glass water bottles and large bottles of good quality toiletries). Most of all, we accidentaly left something behind which the staff were kind enough to notify us promptly. Kudos to housekeeping and front desk! Thumbs up for your hospitality.
Be it looking for a local staycation experience or a touring Singapore the traditional + modern twist experience that Ann Siang House provide is definately worth checking out.

We recently spent two nights at the Ann Siang House, and it was just as I hoped it would be. First off, the location is perfect - five minute walk to Chinatown, and Maxwell Street Hawker Center, close enough to two MRT stations so you can get wherever you need to be, and in a little quieter than most, considering the hub-but that is nearby. Second, it's a classic-style building that has been updated inside that made us feel very comfortable (Very unique and not your typical downtown establishment.) Third, nice accommodating staff that helped us make tour arrangements, clean room, and great breakfasts to start our day. Much more.. look up more details on their website. If you are familiar with the Rick Steves Tour Company, it's the type of hotel that Rick would be very happy to have his tours to stay at. Well done!

Had a extremely comfortable week long-stay in Ann Siang house.
It is very much different from the usual hotel experience - no breakfast but considering how close it was to food centers and restaurants, this was not a problem at all. Free snacks and drinks are available 24/7, with free wine and beer at specified times. As there are only 20 rooms, it felt like staying over in someone's home rather than being an anonymous guest in a hotel.
The rooms have different lay-outs. All of our rooms had a nice view of nearby shophouses. Despite being close to clubs, it was surprisingly quiet at night.
There is a free launderette available, which is very helpful if you are travel for some days. They can also arrange for laundry services if you need one. The place is also easily accessible to MRT stations.
The staff are extremely helpful and knowledgable about the goings on. They can direct you to the many different options close by [Maxwell, Amoy and Lau Pa Sat hawkers centers], traditional and hip coffee places, bars and restaurants.
Thank you to Nicole, Nurul, Seeren and Siti, and the auntie who takes care of our room. Will definitely want to see you all again!
