Booked the Collyer Suite for my husband’s birthday. Upon booking I requested for an extra pillow and blanket for my 12yo son to sleep on the spacious sofa. That Saturday, they were incredibly busy but the staff had really good crowd control and informing us of our “queue number”. During check in, the receptionist told me to call if the blanket and pillows aren’t in the room. Got in the room and the items weren’t there so I gave 2 calls but were unanswered. My husband reached a few minutes later and I went to the lobby to register him in and told the receptionist about the items. She apologised as they were running full house and will walkie the housekeeping. As we were waiting for the lift, a male staff approached us to ask if we need assistance. We told him we are fine as someone has already attended to us but he said he will help anyway. After which, he said he’ll liaise with his colleagues to ensure we receive it ASAP. We weren’t rushing for the blanket and pillows anyway. In the room, we received 3 calls about 15-20mins apart to check if we received the items from housekeeping.
We also ordered food deliveries and thought we had to pick it up at the lobby but the porter sent it up promptly(we were at level 3). The service of this hotel was super! The room was fantastic and spacious especially the bathroom too!
We went to the pool at 8.40am the next day and there was nobody. We were told only 5 people can be in the pool (due to COVID-19) and we can utilise for an hour. At about 9.15am, there were many families waiting in line to use the pool.
I hoped that we could have a higher floor as the view of the city would have been nice. We had the view of the street. However, it could be because of the room type we booked. We wished we had another night or two to spend there. Maybe during the school holidays we would hope to come back.

2. Sufficient privacy and feel safe as there was no crowding in the lobby.
3. Staffs were friendly with just the right amount of privacy given to guest.
4. Upon entering the suite, room feels well ventilated, temperature to aircon was set well, has a very feel good, cleanliness to it.
5. Facilities are awesome, pool not crowded, outdoor lounges and living room space, for guest that does not want to swim to have a space to chill.
6. Selection of bathroom shower gels / lotion / sanitiser / moisturiser, is amazing, as well as the numbers of hangers provided. Can feel that Ascott is sensitive to guest's needs.
7. Absolutely love the storages too, hidden shoe rack in cabinet, sufficient hangers, towels and all, that makes it very comfortable to keep things tidy instead of scattering in within the rest area.
8. Lighting are perfect, with ambient lighting and reading lights, and ample outdoor lighting through sheer curtain.
9. Different spots to lounge within the room, bed, ottoman with coffee table, a proper desk with chair, vanity space.
10. Provide great communal space options to host guest's visitors for a short period too.

Check-in was swift despite the long queue. We had to wait for 20 minutes due to the high occupancy. Appreciate the Malay gentleman at the Front Desk ("Trainee" on his nametag) for coming up to us and informing that our room were ready. We had the Cutler Suite and were really impressed at the view and size of the room. Standard kitchen amenities and toiletries. Location is near to Raffles Place MRT and it is also a walking distance to Lau Pa Sat if you want to experience "outdoor" local dining fare.
Big thanks to the Front Desk/Concierges especially the Housekeeping Team (make sure they see this compliment) for keeping up the good work, especially in times like these! I can see there were a lot of guests at the lobby waiting to check-in, some looking anxious and impatient, but the staffs still give their best and smile and interacted with the guests, all with the SMMs in place. Kudos!

Upon arrival we were informed that there would be no bar, no restaurant, and no room service past 2pm for the entirety of our 3 day stay. Had we known this in advance we would have booked at another property all together as they advertise all this as full service on booking websites. Furthermore they didnt even offer advice on an easy alternative in the neighborhood almost to the point of resisting (just saying they didnt know over and over). So at the end of the day we had to walk for 30 minutes round trip for every bottle of water or snack, not really fun on vacation.
The rooms were spacious and clean but that is about the extent of positive feedback I can offer.
The staff was unfriendly and short for the most part like they were irritated with Guests inquiring of any information. Housekeeping was VERY loud every morning starting at 6am with door slamming, laughing, carrying on and yelling. Don't bother with the do not disturb sign, they will ring your doorbell multiple times and call your room anyway. And whatever you do if you are (un)fortunate enough to stay here do not, I repeat DO NOT use the washer/dryer! It fried about $1,000 worth or our clothes beyond recognition.

That being said, expedia did give us a nice credit to make up for the property's extensive false advertisement which we used in Indonesia where they know the meaning of hospitality. Kindly allow us to assure you our management is very concerned as it is always our sincere hope our guests enjoy their stays with us. We sincerely thank you for taking time to share your feedback as it allows us to review our processes and practices so improvements can be sought in the areas we lack. Please allow us to address the various matters you have kindly shared. We note your stay was from Saturday until Tuesday and we humbly admit the bar and room services are unavailable on weekends, while the restaurant operates from 07:00AM to 2:30PM on weekends. Regrettably, as the restaurant and bar are being managed by a separate entity, we admit our management has little control over the operating hours of the restaurant and bar. However, we assure you we shall be sharing your feedback with the management of the restaurant and bar so they may review their operating hours. We seek your kind understanding over this matter. Thank you. Please allow us to share our findings from the 02 team members who attended to you during the check-in process and on one evening of your stay. It is most regrettable our team members’ recommendations of Clarke Quay, Mohamed Sultan Road and the nearby iconic food center Lau Pau Sat did not appeal to you. With regard to the location of a convenience store to purchase mineral water, drinks and snacks, we would like to share the nearest 7-11 store is just a 2 minutes’ walk from our property as this store is found at the Raffles Place MRT station’s underground shopping stretch leading to the gantries to ride the trains. We are truly sorry if you found our team members’ service attitude lacking and they were unhelpful with information on nearby amenities and dining options; and we assure you our management shall be focusing on honing their communication skills and spontaneity. With regard to your feedback on the faulty washing machine and dryer in the 3rd level Cutler Suite, it is most regrettable you did not report the inopportune incident whereby your clothes were damaged in the process of washing, lest we assure you our team would have investigated. Please be advised upon receiving this review, our Engineering team has checked the washing machine and dryer as they ran a full washing and drying cycle, and they were unable to detect any fault with this machine. We are truly sorry if your stay was also detracted by noise near your Suite and the calls from our Housekeeping team albeit the “Do Not Disturb” sign was switched on. We must admit we are perplexed as our Housekeeping team commences with their duties at 9:00AM and none of our Housekeeping team members would be at the property at 6:00AM. We apologise if the guests in neighbouring units had woken you at the wee hours of the day with their raucous merriment. As for the phone calls made to your Suite after 4;00PM each day, we would like to inform you our Housekeeping Supervisor would call guests who have left their “Do Not Disturb” signs switched on to enquire if these guests would like their suites to be cleaned, as there would be occasions whereby some guests may accidentally switch on the sign but wish to have their suite cleaned. Additionally, as a safety measure to ensure the well-being of our guests because there have been incidents whereby guests have suddenly taken ill while being in their suites, our Housekeeping Supervisor will call the suites of guests do not have their suites cleaned for the day and also enter the suites if these guests do not answer the calls made by our Housekeeping Supervisor. We seek your kind understanding over this matter as the safety of our guests are of utmost importance to us. While we wish you had a better experience, it is feedback like yours that helps us to improve. We work hard to deliver an exceptional guest experience, and it's apparent in this case we fell short. Notwithstanding the convenient location on the heart of Singapore CBD (central business district ) this Hotel was for us one of the gloomiest experience in Singapore.
Our room was noisy as windows are not sound proof, doors and furnitures stained and smell of sewage in the room. Breakfast pratically zero and we saw Indian staff eating on the floor inside the kitchen.

We arrived with our heavy luggage only to discover that the elevator outside the building was not working, and the only way in was about 20 steps up. Our apartment was average. It was supplied with some pots, pans, and dishware, so you could cook if you wanted to. There is a washer/dryer combo in the room, but ours made a horrible high-pitched noise every time it ran. You had to made sure you turned on your water heater 10 minutes before you wanted to shower/bathe or you were taking a cold one. The robes they supplied were so rough that you didn't want to wear it. It was nice, however, that they supplied us with a few bottles of water and some fruit in the room when we arrived. There is an outdoor pool but no pool desk to speak of. If you want to sunbathe you have to go to a separate area on the same floor (no view of the pool). The location is great, and we were able to walk to every sighting location we wanted. Overall, it and the staff were nice, but nothing special.

I stayed here for 1 week recently. I used to live in the condo (The Sail) across the street from this property so I know its convenient location. I picked this property instead of Grand Hyatt in Orchard (they charge the same price at the time of booking) because it's in my old hood and I miss my morning run around Marina Bay. I was not disappointed. The property and my room was super clean. Hand sanitizers were everywhere in public areas. My service apartment studio was compact but well designed and modern, I got everything I needed for the week (wifi, study desk, nice bathroom, washer cum dryer, microwave, big fridge, and all essential kitchenwares), it's very convenient even though I didn't have to cook. MRT entrance is just a stone away which makes easy commute. Rooftop swimming pool and terrace were open for guests which was a great plus. Most staff were very friendly and helpful. I just wish the front desk staff could be more attentive and show some warmth while serving guests. Overall it was a great stay. I'd highly recommend this place to anyone.

I booked the Finlayson Suite with the purpose of proposing to my then-girlfriend (now fiancee). The suite was immaculate and had all the amenities I was looking for, all of which were in pristine condition and were well maintained.
Cooking in the suite was a breeze thanks to all the provided kitchen utensils and crockery.
The ambience of the room, if you are looking for that, is romantic and luxurious, with hints of tasteful, modern flairs; a nice contrast against the older facade the building is known for.
If there is anything to highlight in particular, it has to be the level of quality of housekeeping and cleanliness. The staff were very efficient and thorough, ensuring the stay was cozy and sanitary. A simple call to the front desk is all it took to rectify a minor issue of the sink not draining properly, with the service staff coming to fix the issue almost instantly.
Their other facilities are maintained and cared for to a high standard, and you are bound to be wowed by the view from the pool. It is popular, so you do need to get in there at the right time.
If there was a complaint to be made, it may be the complimentary breakfast, which you can get as a takeaway order, On one of our orders, we were given multiple wrong items, which was a little upsetting, but certainly nothing much to cry foul over.

I second the observations made by Departure52493859956 who wrote a review on 17Jan. His/her remarks of the hotel is highly accurate and completely mirrored my experience. The Room Service phone line was dysfunctional and their internal comms with housekeeping is terrible. What was requested is never rightly delivered. You ask for water they ll give you towels.
Ascott Raffles Place is probably the only “luxury brand” that struggles to provide hot water to their guests. Even if you follow the staff instructions to leave the heater on for 10min before use, you are not guaranteed the hot water. Many nights I had to take a cold bath.
There were also a variety of insects in the room, including cockroaches.
I am not sure if the management of Ascott Raffles Place is cognizant of the inherent problems with the hotel, or everything is being covered up. If they are the “luxury brand” made in Singapore, then Ascott Raffles Place has completely ruined its standing in the hospitality business.

Check in was fast & efficient. Swimming pool max is 5 guest at one time, 1st come basis. Close at 9pm
We got our 1st room to a horrible view, facing the wall of the next building. Pls avoid room #601 if they were to assign for you. Called frontdesk for a room change as we stayed for our special day, wedding anniversary. Frontdesk were reluctant to do a room change & was told hotel rooms are fully booked on that day. Nevertheless we end up getting a room change to a definitely way way better one with a good view at room #1002.
Both rooms are big, clean, spacious, incl kitchenette, bathtub in the room. But our #601 room tv was so pathetic, really really small & blur channels. Room #1002 came with a good view of the CBD area. Best eateries around Ascott would be the Lau Pa Sat at night.
On my 2nd day, we received call twice from the Frontdesk calling the wrong room in the morning at 9am while we are asleep asking if we did order Starbucks & we did NOT. Team, pls get the name of your guest & room number right before you even call the room in the morning. Overall it was a pleasant stay but service wise, maybe not.

We deeply regret to learn you have been somewhat dissatisfied with your stay at our serviced residence and we are truly sorry for the disappointment caused to you when our team member called your suite to inform you of the delivery of refreshments from Starbucks. Please allow us to share our findings with you regarding this inopportune incident. Unfortunately, when the delivery personnel arrived at our property, he told our team member he had an order for suite 1002 and he gave the name of the guest who coincidentally shares the same first name starting with :S” as you have. Hence, as part of our safety measures, our team member called 1002 to enquire if you had ordered food before allowing the delivery personnel access to the suite. Please accept our apologies for the disappointment caused to you by the assignment of the Cutler suite for your stay and the lack of view from this suite. We humbly admit we face a full occupancy situation, and our rooms are assigned on a back-to-back room assignment on most days as many locals choose to stay with us because our residence qualifies for the use of the Rediscover Singapore vouchers provided by the authorities to promote local tourism and many such reservations are for our smallest suite type of the Cutler suite. Please allow us to assure you our team members would have tried their best to assign you with a Cutler suite with a better view if our occupancy situation allowed us to . Nonetheless, we are heartened to learn you have been satisfied with the Collyer suite our team managed to change for you. We seek your kind understanding over this matter and apologise for the inconvenience and disappointment caused to you during your stay.
