This resort would have been a hit in the early 2000. And it still is but they just haven't gone with times. A big renovation is needed. The room we stayed in had a "patched" aircon. The tiles are old and some broken. The bed is not comfy at all. The amenities around the island also need some serious uplift,...

Staffs were friendly always with smiles on their faces, nice welcome drink and also beautiful Palawan necklaces. Gorgeous, clean beach, breezy. Beautiful atmosphere. Resort was beautiful! Quiet. Great for honeymooners. Room is very big! 2 king sized bed and a day bed in the room. Air-con is good! But No TV in the room. Well, who needs one when ur in Honda Bay? Many...

Overnight stay at this resort is not enough. The place is so peaceful, calm and serene. Buffet was sumptuous, spa was great, swimming at the pool and Jacuzzi is fun. You can also borrow their bicycles to roam around the island and there is also a kayak. The best part is the site for snorkeling, which comes with the package...

It was a trek to get to this island. The grounds are not great. As the hotel rep drove us to our room, we saw an old water heater rusting on the grass, several building materials, old broken window frames. Not sure why it was left in clear view of the walk path of the guests. We questioned the rep...

We came on the day trip here excited to go to a nice resort and found a run-down hotel. The good part was that the sites for snorkeling were easy to access, had a lot of fish, friendly staff, and good lunch buffet. Everything else was okay or sub-par. There are added fees once you pay for the day like...

Having read about the past of the place, the experience offered more than I expected. Loved the idea of the whole resort on island by itself. Very friendly staff. Lots to do for families with kids and groups. The diving sites were not bad at all. They claimed that some of the food ingredients were produced in the island itself....

Well we needed a break from the heat and sand in Dubai where we live. So we decided to visit my fiancé family in the philipines. Then we wanted time for us. This island is only 1 hour or so away from Porto Princesa by boat. Fabous friendly staff great food and magical tropical gardens surround our beach front apartment....

We have been to places like this before. If you are expecting a plush four star resort like I was, it’s important to tone your expectations down to a 3* level and then adjust again for amenities. Here are the highlights, lowlights and random thoughts, in no particular order. Its an hour by boat from the west end of Palowan....

I was pleasantly surprised that Dos Palmas made significant improvements since my last visit a few years ago. They have improved beach huts, day beds, a picnic/buffet area, etc. We were lucky to have scheduled a day tour when only 3 other couples did, so we pretty much had all the amenities to ourselves - snorkeling, kayaking, beach, etc. We...

We stayed here during the long weekend in June. Landed in PPS airport in the night and stayed overnight in PPS in a different hotel and headed here in the morning from the wharf, they have fixed timing for the boat transfer so make sure your arrive here on time, else you need to wait for another 2 hrs. Everything...
