My wife and I stayed here for a night during our trip through Banaue. The pictures are just as advertised with magnificent views of the Rice terraces and the village. First off everyone should know, is that Batad is about 40 minutes from Banaue town proper bus stop. A tricycle costs about 700 pesos one way from what we checked as the jeepneys only leave in the late afternoon when full. Once you reach the Batad drop off point, you need to walk 20 - 25 minutes downhill along the trail to reach the accommodation. Along the way you pay the 50 peso environmental fee. Remember there is no mobile signal in Batad (Smart or Globe). Your last point would be up on the Batad Saddle before you ride down to the drop off point. The room itself we got was the double room for 700 P. It is basic but that's what you expect. It had a double bed, a single bed and 2 power outlets. There is no fan and the shower/toilet is shared (towels are provided). The interiors are clean and well maintained. The view from your window has to be the highlight. The restaurant is just below the Inn and is part of Ramon Homestay. The meals are good and all priced at 185 pesos (a bit pricey but again think about the location and the difficulty in getting supplies). Everything on the menu may not be available. It looks like they used ti have cultural shows pre-pandemic however this was not operational at the time. Overall a great stay. Peaceful, disconnected and a great view to go with it. Would definitely recommend. …
Not only does this place offer the best view in Batad, it also offers great service and hospitality from the hosts, Mang Ramon and his family. It is without a doubt a great place to stay if you ever plan to go to Batad.
Our stay in batad was extraordinary not only because of the beautiful view and the activities to do there but mostly because of the hospitality of mang ramon and his team. The rooms and showers are simple but very clean. If you want to enjoy your stay in batad, then this is the perfect place to stay.
We had a wonderful stay at the Batad View Inn. Very good value for money; hot shower, good food, friendly and helpful hosts and nice atmosphere (common terrace with view over rice terraces). I hope road construction will take a long time, as the tranquility of the location is unique! Only improvement for them would be a map with complete overview of the hikes available. We hiked mostly with maps.me, which in the end also worked...
I stayed here two nights and it was great. The room had an amazing view over the terraces and although they are basic, the rooms and bathrooms are spotless and there are hot showers. The food was great (Given the location constraints) and all the staff were very welcoming and will make you feel comfortable. I recommend walking to the waterfall if your knees can take all those stairs! Batad still feels like a proper adventure - long may it stay that way!
The rooms are very basic but comfortable and cozy and the shared bathrooms were spacious and clean. For the duration of our stay, we mostly hung out at the restaurant bec of the view. Serving time takes a while but orders are substantial and they include fresh veggies.
We had a lovely time in Batad. The rooms are tidy, the view is amazing and it shares its facilities with Ramon Homestay (same family) so you get great service from Ramon and Irene. They take the time to do an evening fire for people to gather, Ramon is more than open to talk about his culture and customs. Irene is an excellent guide as well. The food is good, good selection. Prepare to be exhausted and enjoy the views and the culture.
Ramon and his team are wonderful hosts, we have such an amazing stay. The views are breathtaking, the rice terraces are amazing and it is just the most relaxing place to spend a couple of days. Ramon is also a great chess player, you have been warned! Do not miss this place, you won't be disappointed.
I spent three days at Batad View, venturing out to various walks through the rice terraces. The food is good and the staff is kind and attentive. Ramon does a lovely job running this establishment for his niece Irene. I very much enjoyed my stay.
This place offers basic clean room. But what's the best thing is the location right next to the terraces. The view is stunning. They also offer food which is good and cheap. Staff are also accommodating.
