I knew what I was getting into staying here: (relatively) cheap private room accommodation centrally located on Hong Kong Island. Left the booking until the last minute and there were few choices under $200/night remaining. Pretty easy to find outside of Sheung Wan MTR. Room was tiny as expected, but functional. Staff were not unkind but not friendly either. No...

I stayed here for one night in late September in the end of a short trip to south China. This hotel has everything to be rated more, except for its ventilation system ( at least in my room ) which didn't stop making a loud noise for all night. I called the reception by 2AM complaining, but they said that...

Rooms are tiny, but clean and with newer furniture. This is a very good option for travelers who desire a budget hotel in a central location and are willing to stay in what is a very tiny room. In-room shower, television with foreign channels, central air-conditioner, and fridge. Plenty of restaurants and commercial life in the area and close proximity...

A great little hotel tucked away in the Sheung Wan area. This is a good budget hotel, near a metro stop and lots of little shops, restaurants, etc. in the area. It's also just a short walk to the main streets of Hennessey and Queans Way. The rooms are very small, typical in Hong Kong, and some are interior rooms...

With just a couple of nights in the city, I probably should have spent a little more in order to receive a lot more. The price and location of this hotel are both excellent (you can get anywhere by taking the MTR or walking within the central district), but that's all that's good about it. The room was not clean...

Alot of other ppl say that this hotel is hard to find. However, did some research and managed to find it. It is just 2 minutes walk from Sheung Wan MTR Exit A2. Once you exit make a right turn. Walk past 7-eleven, you will see a shop with a bright yellow signage. Mingle on the wing is just beside...

Smallest single room I have stayed in, however in Honk Kong I believe that is the norm. Great for solo travelers, perfect location for the underground MTR. Tidy but extensive mold growing in shower. However don't expect any room to stretch or spread out in. Good for its price. A/C worked despite the loud noises coming from the unit.

As per usual, hotel in HK is pretty small. With our 2 luggages, the room is full. When we first entered the room, it has some musty smell. The room equipped with lots of movies free to view. For those not claustrophobic, this hotel will suit you if only you need a place to sleep.

We stayed a nite on June 2014. MRT station shanghuan Exit A2 and turn right walk straight about 100m the hotel is just opposite the road. This hotel is clean and looked new. The room size is acceptable in Hong Kong. We feel very comfortable and safe. The location is wonderful. Next time I will stay there again when travel...

Staying in Sheung Wan

Neighbourhood Profile
Sheung Wan
Unlike most of Hong Kong’s other popular districts, Sheung Wan welcomes wanderers with an easy-going, relaxed atmosphere. Art galleries are plentiful and boutique cafés are tucked away in every side street in the sub district known as “PoHo.” Browse through the vintage clothing and handmade leather goods stores – it’s no surprise fashionistas flock to this area. History enthusiasts will be rewarded with sites of beautiful architecture, reflecting Sheung Wan’s past as one of the earliest settlements by British forces. As night falls, the entertainment scene reveals itself to be just as laid back with its private kitchens, speakeasies and underground bars dotted throughout the area. When in Sheung Wan, everyday feels like the weekend.
