Well here we are again on Lamma, and after our last 2 visits (Air BnB, Concerto Inn) decided to try this Bali Holiday Resort place, closer to our son, the village centre, and the ferry. Pros: close to son, shops, ferry. Large room with small balcony overlooking the harbour and ferry terminal. Cons: where do I start?? Decor - As...

We stayed in No. 7, in a room with a view of the harbor. It's not a particularly nice view except for people watching--you can tell the ferry schedule by the direction of foot traffic and how fast people are walking! Nice big TV but only 2 channels with English and a few others in Cantonese, maybe 10 total. Room...

I chose Bali Holiday Resorts for a short getaway in Lamma Island all because of its good reviews in some local online forums. Yet, I was disappointed. I should be aware of the fact that most of these good reviews were written more than 5 years ago. Okay, I could see from the design that the "resort" was meant to...

Basic room, but spotless with all facilities that worked well. Great value for money and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Fantastic view from front apartments with a quiet surrounding considering it is situated on the main street

We stayed here, room 3K, on a Saturday evening. The room, especially around the kitchen bar, was filled with the sour smell of goats milk, but I'm not sure what it was either. The odor was so strong that we couldn't stand staying at the kitchen and every time when we walked pass it, we had to breathe with our...

We've stayed here twice now and it's been fine. As most hotels in Hong Kong, it seems very quite expensive for what you actually get: small room with a small bed and not much else. I agree with the other reviews that it can be noisy at night. However, some of their rooms are in a different building down the...

The Bali isn't the worst hotel in Hong Kong. You could definitely do worse. The staff is friendly and helpful, if you can find someone. When I was there, the staff person couldn't speak English so we had to converse in Mandarin all weekend, which was a little rough. Rooms aren't particularly clean, but it was comfortable and the location...

I know Yung Shue Wan, Lamma Island well as I am a long-term HK resident and have many friends who live here. The reason I booked into here was to escape the noise, dust & darkness in my HK Island apartment generated by renovation of the outside of the building. There is only one person, who starts work at 1:30pm,...

I really like Lamma Island. A little piece of tranquility outside HK. We booked this resort with the intention of having a nice relaxing night away from the noise & hustle & bustle of HK. This guest house is average. Clean & basic. However, it is above a bar which at 2am is still in full swing with lots of...

I went to a bar on Lamma and came back at 12 midnight. Just 5 minutes after I arrived in the room the power gets cut off. I have no battery on my phone, can not charge my battery, can not go out because the hallway is too dark and I can not see the exit. As a result, I...
