Today I was trapped inside an elevator alone in the hotel for about 20 minutes. It was my 1st time for 80 years. The elevator was on auto mode going up to the top of the elevator shaft/well (21st floor)l and hit hard with a BIG bang sound with dust coming down from the lift car ceiling and then went down to bottom of the shaft/well (Basement). It hit hard on the bottom and again with BIG bang sound came out. While the car was travelling up and down. I pressed the inter-communication yellow button asking for help. A male voice responded tell me that a technician from the elevator company was notified and was on his way to look into the problem. I asked that male voice to call 999 for emergency government help as I am a 80-year man, alone inside the car, and had been in the car for more than 15 minutes. And I felt running out of oxygen. Again I was told to wait that the technician would come help soon. I was very panic, feeling no solid help coming, I used my phone that I brought along from Canada to call 999. I was released/saved later after calling 999. Mr. Jack Wong from the Reception desk later contacted me to see if I needed medical attention. I refused. I appreciated his kindness. The hotel management could have handled the incident in a good way. That is during the communication with a trapped person the hotel identify himself his full name and title/position so to give confidence to the trapped person that a responsible person was handling the matter, and responded to the trapped person every time when he pressed the yellow communication (help) button. Most importantly called 999 immediately, particularly when I asked for emergency service after being trapped for more than 15 minutes .

The elevator technicians arrived in 20 minutes and released you right away. Then, a thorough examination had been conducted to determine the cause of the elevator failure and had it rectified to ensure the safety of its operation. This is my first time stay, i had such a lovely stay at Stanford hotel. From check in Mr. John are professional and provided a warmest and kindness service. He offered me an early check in and an upgrade to a quiet room when I was tired from an early flight. Also provided useful information to help me travel to Shenzhen. The hotel is located in the heart of Mong Kok and Amazing for exploring. At checkout had Mr. John who assisted me again. I had a very pleasant encounter with him. A very friendly staff member. Highly recommend this hotel!

I have been here a few times and the customer service is very friendly and detail focus. The receptionists had good team effort and explained the procedures in detail. However, the rooms were a bit small. But they were clean and tidy. Can't wait to go back.

The backend staff (prior to our arrival) has been very receptive to our response and resourceful when, sending queries over to them, over the community locations where we can do our PCR. Moreover, when we arrived, the reception desk was polite and attended thoughtfully for the little details and has explained thoroughly on our room facilities.

It's located in Mongkok, one of the most crowded districts in Hong Kong. Yet, it's closer to the periphery so not noisy. The rooms are not cramped, well equipped, cleanliness not that good as there were small ants between the table and its glass cover. No common amenities here eg swimming pool or gym. Just rooms and a restaurant. I didn't try its restaurant as it looked crowded cramped. There are tonnes of shops and restaurants around so not a problem at all. Staff not good not too bad. I believe this hotel is used to accommodate tour groups from mainland China. But due to Covid, it has become much less crowded. Thus price more affordable.

Half way my long term stay, I moved from 1 room to another because of unwanted circumstances. Same room layout except the room I got back was a tiny downgrade (TV downgrade, bathroom leaking, little fridge leaking water). Didn't mind though. Now I have to move to another room again because their rooms that I am currently in now got fully booked 1+ month in advance??? So my option now is to get a renovated(?) room but a bit smaller and no place for luggage compared to the one I have right now. On top of that, not really in mood to move all my stuff again to a new room... Regarding the internet, often good, sometimes still losing speed (but better than before, see last review) or sudden disconnections for a second. I think they need to upgrade their hardware. Housekeeping is highly depended on whoever is doing the housekeeping. Sometimes very good, sometimes bad. Friday was mostly a good cleaning day, cheers. Rest of the service was great, always available for anything you need when you call them. Probably will not be staying here after this period since we cannot stay in this room, is what they said last month. (which is weird, to have all these rooms booked for more than a month upfront leaving no rooms left, but there are still rooms available on their website...)

Very much appreciate for acknowledging the team members‘ whole-hearted service with our great pleasure. Yet, it was disappointing to learn that our shortfall on the room facilities as well as Housekeeping service were a bit substandard and that consequent room arrangement was below your expectation. Please be assured that the issue have been looked into right away in an effort to enhance our service delivery in these aspects. About the room arrangement, we would like to apologize as some room blocks have been previously held up for a long stay group is coming in August as mentioned by our Reception team in June. And alternative option of changing another room with upgrade privilege had been extended thereafter but was declined. We can imagine the troublesome that it has caused you to move again. In this connection, we would try our utmost and let you know should there be any cancellation done in the last minute. Regarding the wifi interruption, we regret to hear again it’s poor performance. Please be informed that we are on the way to upgrade our service. Thank you for your patience and understanding on this matter. First of all, the room condition was good. Since the room has a small table and chairs, it was comfortable to have meals or coffee in the room. Also, the bathroom was wide and clean. Overall, the room including the coffee machine and the fridge was clean. The location, also nice. From the hotel to the MTR station, you can just have 3-4mins walk. Also, near the hotel, there are many restaurants (they also price-reasonable and good taste) and the convenience stores like seven-eleven. Most of all, the employees are very kind. Want to say thank you for their good hosting.

Everything is quite good, the only thing i dislike is the shower with a non removable showerhead. Another downside is the wifi speed. Which is most of the times ridiculously slow. As i write this review, i am still staying in this hotel and it took me several minutes to open this page. I suggest you use a hotspot through your smartphone.
