This was our 2nd stay at the YMCA in 8 years. Yes, the rooms are slightly tired, (but I have heard that they will be doing renos towards the end of the year), but as people have stated before, the location and price more than...More
This is my first time to try Salisbury YMCA. We usually stay at the Park Lane Hotel in Causeway Bay. This hotel is far superior in terms of service - room and bathroom are very clean. There is also an MTR entrance just at the...More
It was with some hesitancy that I checked-in at the YMCA Salisbury Hotel. I have been to Hong Kong many times before, but have always stayed at 4-star and 5-star properties. I had heard so many complimentary things from travelers about this hotel that I...More
Wow the location of this place is outstanding. There is an MTR entrance/exit literally on the hotel's doorstep. We had a harbour suite (we were upgraded from a harbour view room at the corner of the building) with a beautiful view of the harbour.
Stayed one night in a single room and it was fantastic. No complaints.
Stayed 4 nights in a dorm room and it was a great value for the price. The only complaint was the excessively high A/C, but that's a problem many places in HK.
Tsim Sha Tsui is one of the major tourist and shopping areas of Hong Kong. With a high concentration of hotels, retail shops and commercial offices – it’s a busy and bustling neighbourhood that never sleeps. On the surface, Tsim Sha Tsui seems to only feature an abundant number of high-end retail stores selling designer brands and jewelry, owing to its popularity with high-budget shopping tours. However, it also
contains a diverse range of attractions for the entire family. Whether taking a walk in Kowloon Park, exploring museums, going shopping or grabbing a bite to eat – Tsim Sha Tsui has something for everyone.

The hotel actually comes in two parts with the front been a real hotel in the sense it trades like any hotel while the rear section I believe is like a YMCA. They both have the same entry and restaurant on the ground floor.
However the only reason I always stay here is because of the high standard and the fact I can get a harbourview at a very reasonable price for Hong Kong. I believe you could not go wrong staying here. You should contact the hotel directly to ask if there is a discount. I never have because I am not a member of YMCA
