Hotel's Favourite
A very enjoyable week long stay at the Royal Plaza. Good sized room particularly for HK, and good service from all the staff particularly very helpful service from Joseph on the door sorting our bags, taxi storage. Convenient for the MTR so it’s quick to get in to the more central areas, but that does mean it isn’t in the heart of HK as it were.
One note, I don’t get why the health club staff don’t simply offer you a locker key when you register rather having to specifically ask for one? Small thing but just seemed odd.

We very much appreciated the welcome of the hotel staff who took care to give us an upper floor room for a beautiful view and away from the elevators to avoid the possible noise of these.
We quickly noticed that the air conditioning in our room had a problem( noisy and blocked at a cold temperature for us ).
The hotel staff were very reactive, Candy immediately showed us another room with the same standing, with the air conditioning in working condition and even installed an electric radiator in the room during our absence in case we get cold !
Many thanks to Candy for her responsiveness and kindness.
This hotel is ideally located to visit the various markets, temples and gardens and the lively areas of Hong Kong.
An impeccable value for money, a competent staff who stays tuned and cares to know during your stay if you are satisfied with the housekeeping services ; Services also perfect !
Hong Kong is a beautiful place and Hongongese are welcoming, friendly and helpful. A real « coup de coeur ».

Dear bnbnnnnbbnb Thank you for taking the time to write a TripAdvisor review about your recent stay with us. While I am delighted that overall you were pleased with the service provided to you by the team and that you were happy with the guest room, we are deeply concerned about the improvement of the temperature control of the room. I have shared your feedback with the teams concerned for review, as we endeavour to continuously improve our service and procedures. We very much look forward to welcoming you back on your next visit to Hong Kong. Thank you once again for taking the time to share such valuable feedback. Yours sincerely C.F. Wong

+1
We booked our anniversary staycation and had a great time, way more than we initially expected. On the check-in at the reception, the receptionist did a splendid job and surprised us with a room upgrade to the executive floor. The room is spacious, well designed and has great amineties. Large and comfy super kingsize bed, large view over Mongkok city skyline, large TV (including free viewing of the hotel movie channel). Nespresso machine and a very well-designed bathroom with bathtub including in-wall TV viewing, separate rainbow shower cell, and with all the bathroom amenities. We used the pool, large, clean and great not to mention the wonderful friendly staff. The package includes a breakfast and lunch buffet both served at La Scala. Breakfast was served over either a set Chinese or Western menu, we opted for the Dim Sum, which is served cold and returned twice, service is slow and unpleasant, even only four tables had breakfast including us. On the other hand, the lunch buffet is plentiful, with many choices, and nice. We had a swift and professional check out from the hotel. Overall a wonderful memory to our anniversary and we shall return.

I visited the hotel few days ago and left behind my face towel in the bathroom. I was too confident to assume that the hotel will keep it for me so I just reached the hotel for L&F the next day after I checked out. It was my first time and at the same time my last time to use the towel.
Leaving it behind is my fault. I saw it when I use the bathroom in the morning but I forgot to pack it with me when I leave. I was the last one who left the room which means probably only housekeeping staff will be entering the room after I check out.
But the hotel housekeeping said they didn’t have it on the L&F record and concerned staff said he/she didn’t see it. But I don’t think they won’t check those hangers during make-up room. Guess either someone took it for self use or they threw it away as trash and lie. Cuz I really don’t understand how come the towel can be disappeared. So if anyone gonna stay in this hotel, please make sure you won’t leave anything behind or that will be your last time to see or own it.
Other than the lost and not found issue, the room is well-designed and nicely equipped.

Dear KammyLau, We are sorry to hear your unpleasant experience in our hotel. In fact, when we heard from you regarding the missing item, we have taken immediate action to locate the staff who made up your room, check the vicinity of your room including bathroom, lost and found record as well as the contractor who might have collected the missing item with the linen after you checked-out. Unfortunately, we still failed to find it. We will keep this case in record and will let you know right away if any similar item is found. Please do not hesitate to contact me also if I can be of any further or future assistance. Best regards William Chan Hotel Manager

We stayed at the Royal Plaza for 7 nights as part of a family reunion and we couldn’t have chosen a better hotel.
You will not be disappointed with this hotel as the staff are so obliging and caring. The facilities are also of high standard and what you would expect from a 4/5 star hotel.
We upgraded to the Club Lounge level and did not regret the decision. The Club Lounge is on the 18th floor which can only be accessed by Club Lounge Members.
Breakfast, afternoon tea and cocktails are served on the Club Lounge floor and coffee/tea/soft drinks available throughout the day.
The Club Lounge area is very spacious and was perfect for our family reunion as it gave us a private place to all meet up and socialise.
The rooms were spacious and cleaned everyday by a very courteous and hardworking housekeeping team.
The staff at Royal Plaza deserve special mention as they made this holiday so memorable by their fantastic care and service. It was hard saying goodbye to this wonderful team.
A very special thank you to David, Jimmy, Kitty and Jason. You made this reunion unforgettable! You are a very hardworking and attentive team and take the time to get to know your guests which we greatly appreciated. Nothing was too much trouble for you and we really appreciate being given a special room on Christmas Day where we could get together as a family and open our presents - fantastic service!
I would highly recommend this hotel. I would also recommend upgrading to Club Lounge as it was well worth the extra cost.

It is because of the renovation work of my house and I need to find a hotel for a month to stay. I was lucky to meet the staff Heather Chan who is really helpful and considerate.
I checked in at around 5p.m. There was still a queue but it only spend me for around 20 minutes. My room was a twin bed room.
For the room, it is nice to have a view. I can enjoy the sunset with a cup of tea. They offered me a twin bed room. The beds are comfortable and spare pillows are already at the wardrobe so I don't need to find the housekeeping. The wash room is big and clean. But I think the toilet area is a bit small and my arm sometimes will hit the phone.
They will set the stepping platform for you so it is easier for me to step in the bath tub. In my opinion, bigger tub would be better and more comfortable.
For the monthly contract, they will have the room cleaning twice a week. But they will empty the trash bin and refill water, coffee, bath accessories daily. The room service team is nice and efficient. They are so experience and will try to minimise the disturbance.
The gym and the swimming pool is nice and tidy. A small tips is not to go there during the peak hours especially in weekends and holidays. There would be many guests swim and the kids will run and screaming.
It is because I probably need to stay for another month. So I think I will stay here but I would change to another room type to have a new experience.

The lights!!!
We didn't know about the key card being needed to turn on the lights. once we got them on, we could not turn off selected lights, had to remove the key and turn them all off. What a pain.
The room was nice on the top floor. However the desk was right in front of the window obstructing to view. The morning breakfast, on the 18th floor although not complementary, was very diverse and flavorful (albeit a bit pricey). Garner what you will from that. Overall I would recommend this hotel, and would stay here again if I should return.

Firstly we did not actually stay in the hotel. We had a cruise booked from Shanghai to Hong Kong which was changed to Japan on 29th January 2020 because of the corona virus which as we all know originated in China.
We had booked a 2 night stay for 14th & 15th March back in September 2019 through a travel agent and paid NZD671. We cannot recall if the travel agent advised us that it was a non refundable rate at the time of booking but when we checked the itinerary at a later date we saw that it was.
Whilst we understand non refundable means that we do not get our money back we are very disappointed with this hotel as when the travel agent tried to get a refund due to the exceptional circumstances way beyond our control this was declined even though the hotel had 6 weeks notice. it now means they can resell our room and have a double whammy. What a nice little earner for the hotel if they are doing this to everybody. If it hadn't been for the corona virus nothing would have changed and we would have stayed at the hotel. It should also be noted that at this point in time the airline we were travelling on has temporarily suspended flights to mainland China, Hong Kong or Macau and there are travel warnings NOT to travel there.
We feel this hotel has been very unreasonable and unsympathetic, compared to the airline who changed our flights to Japan with absolutely no cost. We have travel insurance taken out in September last year and we are still to hear if they will cover the cost of the hotel.

Ambience at the reception lobby was great, comfy and a few sofas to rest those tiring feet. Reception was a great plus. Checking-in took less than 10 mins special requests was taken care of promptly and even a room upgrade with a pleasant city view. My deepest thanks to Kitty and Artemis for their excellent services. The control of guests entering elevators at lobby level is a tumbs up. Room is clean and neat, body and shampoo gels very relaxing. For my set of old bones the bed was soft. The lighting setup made up for a relaxing sleep.

We stayed here for 2 nights before flying to Vietnam. Long flight from the UK ,great that you can jump on a shuttle bus from the airport express and be taken straight to the hotel,we got stuck in rush hour traffic so this took quite a long time but we were glad of it nevertheless . The hotel has a good location and is attached to a shopping centre . It is also very close to the MTR which is handy if you are out and about in HK like we were.Breakfast was good, lots of options and always lots of fresh food. There was a chef who would make scrambled eggs or omelettes too.
Room was nice ,a bit dark ,all the wood panelling made it seem darker than it was . I slept well here .The bed was comfortable. The rooms were clean and quite spacious . It had a bath and a separate shower . Love a bath and enjoyed a nice relaxing soak after we arrived !
We had a problem on the second night as our key card didn’t work and after an hour and a half and staff breaking down the door we were moved to a suite ..we had to quickly pack up and move ,good of them to move us but I’d have settled for any room at this point to be honest . The suite was huge ,two bathrooms a table ,full sized lounge and massive bedroom, the views were good as it had floor to ceiling windows . They apologised when we checked out but it wasn’t anybody’s fault ...just some problem with the door lock that couldn’t be helped.
There are so many hotels to choose from in HK I probably wouldn’t stay here again but it was clean ,welcoming and comfortable and that’s all you need to be honest .
