Booked a classic room, however the room is smell of smoke and the fire sensor covered by ex guest. It’s unacceptable if housekeeping didn’t find this out , it’s not only clean less issue but also safety concern. Regarding to the service, I request to change another room though “0” service hotline. However, there’s no response after 30mins, there’s only a staff to peel off the protection of sensor only. At the result, I decide to go downstairs to front desk directly. NONE of them know my case, ridiculous communication. Even though they upgrade my room into half sea view room but I’m sorry I have to share such a poor experience I had.

I booked the room for my girl friend birthday n prepared birthday cake for her, when I called to Room Service to request cake storage, he said that need find concierge, that’s fine, I called to concierge, they he said need I send the cake to concierge, that no problem also, however I would like to give surprise to my girlfriend, the staff of concierge need me pick up the cake by myself, they don’t have "Send Cake to Room Service"???
As a business person and a hotel guest with an experience visiting world class accommodations - from 7-star Hotels to AirBnb vacation houses in different holiday destinations, I would say, Intercontinental Grand Stanford Hotel has the BEST customer service. A spectacular view of the Hong Kong Harbour is a PLUS! Apparently, BEST is even an underestimation of the way they treat their guests. From the moment you step into their premises to having your buffet breakfast or just lounging in the pool area or the lobby , their friendly and polite staff provided warm and welcoming atmosphere which I’m sure every guest longs for when they’re on a holiday! It’s been our 2nd time for a leisurely staycation in this hotel for just a year - first with my husband during our wedding anniversary and the second time, with our daughters. One of the most unforgettable experiences we had was how the Guest Relations Manager, Diana Schleiter, answered and addressed all our queries during our check-in. She was very friendly and truly encapsulates qualities of an excellent hotelier. The buffet breakfast was truly a treat and a feast as well. On a side note- a day prior to our second visit in this hotel, we booked one of the five star hotels in the HK island, we had an overnight stay there and in all honesty, the buffet breakfast they offered was poorly served and did not pass the category that I was expecting from a high-end hotel, but of course, I do not negate the quality service the hotel staff displayed during our stay and the 4-course Italian meal we had during dinner. Unfortunately though, their buffet breakfast was a DEAL BREAKER! They only had a few choices of Asian dumplings and I barely saw western dishes and fruits which I anticipate during breakfast. It’s a good thing that we concluded our holidays in Intercontinental - their wide array of choices of scrumptious Western and Asian cuisine coupled with their mouth-watering pastries were absolute delight! Again, we had great customer service from their buffet staff, Geraldine, who was very helpful and very cordial all throughout our two-day stay . We were not able to get all the names of the hotel employees but I must say, their customer service training is par excellence . The location is also another thing to consider. It is strategically located near the touristy area of Hong Kong near K11 musea, Avenue of stars and the Ocean centre. For those who love to dine and shop this hotel is a must booked. Overall, I definitely recommend this hotel for business or leisure trips. I’ll surely book this place again and would highly refer clients and friends to do the same !…
Disappointedly start my anniversary stay I had my wedding right here 25 years. Apparently our revisit after 25 years is so meaningful to us but meaningless to the hotel. Hardware: very old yet spacious for a double room. Old is imaginable with the aging property located in the old commercial district. No USB, all wooden furniture is chipped, old style equipment, empty room. Software: 25-year anniversary is truly a special occasion to us. Yes, I maybe wrong to expect something more from the hotel, for example, room upgrade? A ballon? A card in room? Or a congratulation upon check-in? But nothing happened. This is no right or wrong. I didn’t pay for extra then no extra. But strongly not recommend to anyone who looks for special occasion stay. Oh yes, we got the 3-of macaron.
I had enjoyed my recent Staycation here and was treated well and allocated a nice corner room with quite a bit of space. The shower and bathroom were large with a strong water pressure level. It was good to have redeemed points to stay. The Gym facilities towards the top were very nice.
I called the hotel to enquire the issue of upgrading but he simply forwarded me to the hotline without telling me so. Indeed I called the hotel direct on the advice of hotline. Seemingly, the hotel and the hotline do not know how to provide service during the pandemic. To my surprise, there are no twin bed harbour view suite for upgrading, only King bed. Consequently, I cancelled my reservation immediately after confirming with the duty manager. I made the reservation on Hoi King Heen. Positive answer for my reservation of a table for 14 people, however, when I mentioned the lunch for 12, the receptionist told me that she had to send a link to me for the reservation. She did send but the link for lunch. When I called back, no more reservation could be made for dinner. I just wonder why the late comer was entertained for sure as the deadline was set on 3.2.2022. I could not remember the taste of the restaurant, but the service quality of the receptionist is definitely not so professional.…
Not acceptable hygiene standard!You can easily see rice on the floor, hair from the sink and sofa! Even the decoration from previous guests still stick on the door! I cannot believe this hygiene standard can win the World Luxury Hotel awards. Totally not acceptable, really not recommend to stay with this hotel!
My second time this year to visit this hotel and the service is as good as always. The check in process gave me the best welcome experience. Diana who checked me in not only explained all the details of my package but also brought me to my room and showed me the most attentive service a check in staff can do. Learning it is a special occasion for us, she quickly arranged some amenities for us and offered to decorate the room. I was overwhelmed by her thoughtfulness and deeply grateful for her service. The harbour view room at 15 floor is a delight. The view is phenomenal. Always enjoy the stunning harbour view of this hotel. This time I tried their club lounge and it is recommended. The lounge is spacious and not crowded. I prefer a quite and relaxing space while enjoying evening cocktails, and this hotel can offer that. The pool and gym are rather small. The break at Cafe M need not us to queue too long to get a seat and they started to serve bubble since breakfast! As a member of IHG they also gave us a free drink coupon which made us felt very welcomed. Overall this hotel is lovely and harbour view room is always recommended.…
