Stayed here over New Years in 2014-15. The room was nothing special, but certainly adequate. On the small side, but I suspect in HK, that's pretty typical. Right in the heart of the entertainment and bar area... good fun.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights this week. We had booked a superior room on the recommendation of British Airways. On arrival we were advised that we would have to have a smoking room as we had not specifically requested a non smoking room. Our reservation had been handled by British airways and we had not realised that...

This hotel is about two blocks away from the Metro/Subway. There is a great variety of food in this area as well as money changers everywhere (price around to find the best deal). The hotel staff is professional and the rooms are clean and modern for a nights stay or two. The hotel usually does not upgrade but has on...

Overall the hotel is clean and comfortable and it's a good, affordable option in a fantastic location for getting around. If your expectations are realistic you'll have a good stay! We had an excellent stay but it helped that we were upgraded to a suite - very comfortable and inoffensively decorated. Being on one of the top floors meant that...

Stayed here a few times over the years. The first was in 2008 as a bright every kid. The rooms were a bit old fashioned then so fast forward nearly 9 years and it’s not aged well. The Lobby is spotless and very well presented. Staff are friendly enough Very good location on Lockhart road, so if you like Wan...

This is not a 4 star property, and most likely will not rate any stars but it is clean, presentable, and in a very good location. The staff is well trained and very helpful and friendly. You can buy breakfast as an option to the room rate but beware, it is not a spectacular spread but does offer enough variety...

It's an average hotel - yes, but let's be real, people, you are in Hong Kong - how much are you going to be in your hotel room? Seriously, think about that. If you are spending time in your hotel room, you might as well be home. Hong Kong night life is way too vibrant to be sitting in a...

Well located near MTR, nightclub district of Wan Chai and the Wan Chai Star ferry and Convention Centre. However hotel mainly caters for PRC tourists so doesn't try hard at all. I asked for a non smoking floor, but didn't get this, despite a 10 night booking and the room stank and the corridor smelt doubly bad. Sometimes we got...

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centres of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
