I've stayed in this hotel well over 5 times already. The newly renovated rooms are well worth its price and everything is so clean and new. I love the size of the TV, and that it has a Netflix feature, plus I can easily connect my switch to it. The smart feature "Yue yue" is also very cute- definitely played around with the voice commands quite a bit. Lastly, I've come to recognise the staff and they have always politely and efficiently checked us in every time. My one complaint would be the few days I've booked the hotel while renovation construction was going on and it was quite disruptive to my sleep, but overall one of my favourite boutique hotels in Hong Kong so far, I'll definitely be back again soon. Thank you!
We had to travel to HKG recently. We arrive on the day where the protests were in the TST area and the location of the hotel was just where the protests were. They put up the fence so that the access to the main door was obscured which made it pretty secure. They opened the "fence" when you needed to leave and when you returned home. The hotel manager was very concerned about the guests' welfare and gave us face masks and information. On our second night, we were not able to get dinner because everything around the vicinity was closed (including 7-11) and the hotel restaurants were closed. They provided us with cup noodles and soy milk. The hotel is in the midst of renovation. The lobby is very cool and modern. The upper level rooms (where we were - we were in the 14th floor) are still the old Guangdong hotel. While the rooms are bigger than that of other HKG hotels, the housekeeping needs a lot of work. There are free snacks at the lobby. Free soda (coke in can), dimsum, crackers and tea and you are free to take them). This was a very nice touch. Our stay was comfortable despite the circumstances. I would like it if housekeeping "cleaned" a bit more. Our room carpet was not something I would walk around on without slippers. We got to try the Japanese restaurant (Senkami) on our first night. A bit on the pricier side but really really good!…
For the price the standard room was very basic, although this was my first time in HK so I don’t know how prices compare. There wasn’t even any hand soap. On the upside, the staff were all very polite.
After taking a look at the pictures online I was expecting my room to be way better. Luckily it was only one-night stay. The carpets look dirty, the furniture and bathroom and everything in the room looks outdated. The room does have a kettle, tea and two teacups, but no sugar, coffee or spoons. There is a hairdryer, safe and some toiletries. There is also DirecTV (so many English channels). The location is excellent, very close to restaurants, shops and MTR station. The breakfast is ok, not much variety, it’s a small buffet with some Asian and American style options (some pastry, scrambled eggs and sausages). Overall it just ok if you are on a budget but if you are looking for a nice relaxing experience… I would go somewhere else.
We just stayed here for 2 nights and loved the place, we had a room on level 3, room 306. The room was fantastic, new bathroom with all the mod cons, large comfy bed and a garden to sit in if you like the heat of the day, auto close blinds and curtains Location is fantastic and close to the MTR and many shops and Harbour Staff fantastic and so helpful, this would have to be one of the nicest places I have stayed. Reading reviews I would suggest you ask for floor 3, pay a little extra it is worth it. And Support the wonderful people of Hong Kong during these tough days, they deserve our support, we had no issues and never felt threatened or scared at anytime. Perfect stay thanks team, we will be back no question!
this was the worst hotel ever i have stayed in. the staff was very rude ,rude means over rude they were not interested in attending, they were not interested in serving ,no vegetarian food, in fact you won't believe, there was no bellboy to carry the luggage from door to room and we have checked out in midnight at 4 a.m. we have to carry the luggage are cells to the lobby. the hotel is very small we have taken executive room and it was smaller than small 1 litre water bottle were provided in one day and that was smaller ones I don't think there can be any worse hotel than this I want give you in 1 star rating to this very very very bad.cubords were so small.
Great location, just a minute walk to tsim sha tsui MTR station... lots of shops and convenience stores around the area. Hotel room is average and clean however it’s outdated and old. We have offered a complimentary upgrade to the executive level and free breakfast which is very appreciated. Lack of smile and greeting from the reception staff at check in.
This morning when I was about to get a taxi from the hotel, I was waiting in the receptionist table. There were 3 receptionist at the table at that moment. 2 of them were helping other guests where the other person (name Thomas) saw me already waiting to be helped but he prefers to do his work than to help me. I was still fine and not mad about his behavior. So I was still waiting in line to be helped by others, until his colleague asked him to help me. So he rudely called me like calling his dog with his hand gesture. I told him that I need his help to call the taxi to get to another location where I bring 3 big luggages and it was raining at that moment. He asked where do I want to go. So I showed him the address. I know it is not too far from the hotel location but it is around 1-2 KM of a walk and it was raining. He said that because the place was near so he told me to walk. And I told him that I was bringing 3 big luggages and it was raining. He told me that the taxi wouldn’t want to take me. And finally, he told me to get my own taxing outside of the hotel. What kind of a service is this? Is this how the hotel treats the guest? It’s just a simple favor to freaking call the taxi but he just told me to get my own taxi / walk in the rain with 3 big luggages. And was I not forgetting that this is a 4 star hotel? Hmmm... really... bad bad experience with the employee name Thomas... overall stay was just okay. The room was okay but definitely better in pictures.…
The hotel was okay though not the best I've stayed in. Location is good and about 3 mins walk away from MTR... local eateries are everywhere as well as restaurants. The room I stayed in, 6th floor is very very dated. Cleanliness could be improved. The reason I chose this hotel as the rate were affordable and a decent hotel. Also, they have a 'so-called' lounge adjacent to their reception desk. There were no signs telling people that guest needs to order a drink in order to be seated there. We were asked to sit elsewhere after having sat at that area for 10 minutes or more before being approached.
We stayed here in March 2019 for a week and it's in a great location. Close to tons of restaurants (many choices) as well as the MTR (subway), malls and the ferry. The hotel had its grand opening so we received complimentary breakfast because we booked through the hotel website. It had lots of selection but no hot western foods, but it was free so we couldn't complain. Some members of our party ate at neighboring restaurants with eggs and ham and it was quite cheap and there's a 24 hour McDonald's right across the street. The wifi is great and the rooms do need updating along with the bathrooms but the beds were comfortable and we were only there to sleep. One thing we did notice is that most of us picked up a nasty cough after a few days so I'm not sure if it was the AC or smoking in the hotel. Overall it met our needs. ,…
