Neighbourhood
Tsim Sha Tsui
Tsim Sha Tsui is one of the major tourist and shopping areas of Hong Kong. With a high concentration of hotels, retail shops and commercial offices – it’s a busy and bustling neighbourhood that never sleeps. On the surface, Tsim Sha Tsui seems to only feature an abundant number of high-end retail stores selling designer brands and jewelry, owing to its popularity with high-budget shopping tours. However, it also contains a diverse range of attractions for the entire family. Whether taking a walk in Kowloon Park, exploring museums, going shopping or grabbing a bite to eat – Tsim Sha Tsui has something for everyone.

We had 2 nights here. We had a city view (ie no view) in a club room ie with access to the club lounges. The club lounge and facilities are well worth paying the extra for. We had superb breakfasts in the lounge; there is a buffet as well as a menu cooked to order. There are

The day before I checked out of The Shangri-La Hotel I had sometime to sit and relax in my room. It was on the 14 floor, which looked out over the bay and hong kong harbour. It had been a busy trip this time with a combination of land sea and air covering some Forty-Thousand

Spent three nights at the hotel after travelling Australia and New Zealand for two months. What a wonderful hotel to finish the journey and relax. We upgraded to the Horizon club, harbour view room. Just brilliant with great views and service. Would recommend paying the extra

Check-in/out impeccable. Rooms large and well furnished. Very good lift service. In many respects a good hotel for virtually any type of travel. Breakfast can be a bit hectic, but plenty of food stations. Recommend side view of harbour - a little less expensive but a good

it works out very expensive in HK hotels if you don't get a deal with breakfast included - trouble is, a lot of hotels don't give a breakfast included but you can look for deals - over Chinese New Year or Christmas or Easter, forget it, but if you are going there when there are no special holidays then you can look at a variety of different web sites that may offer B and B deals in the hotel - often the hotel itself will offer a breakfast deal 'special offers' on its own website - yes, you can eat out in HK at a variety of cheaper options but the breakfast buffet in this hotel is spectacular and huge. It is not worth paying for this buffet price if your kids are very young as they won't take advantage of the variety.

Hiya, I’d suggest smart casual is the safest option if dining in house unless it’s a pre-reserved event which means black tie. The hotel will advise that sports wear is not acceptable in The Horizon Club but I saw a few folks quite happily having a post workout breakfast there. I believe they recommend smart casual for evening cocktails and canapés. Anyway, the staff are so polite and will help you.

The weather is excellent in Hong Kong during December. Very comfortable and I was only wearing a t-shirt and short pants. Beautiful settings due to Christmas. Not sure if the hotel has Halal foods for Muslims but please contact the hotel to inquire.

Weather should be tolerable in temperatures 20’s C. The Shangri-La does offer food service responsive to Muslim and Jewish food rules.
