The Mandarin surpasses all other hotels in hong kong. It is truly iconic with a very personal level of service and all mandarin oriental luxuries as you would expect. Harbour view rooms are great, as is the spa and pool.

The Mandarin is the best hotel I have ever stayed in. I arrived in Hong Kong only to learn that my luggage had not. The driver from the Mandarin who picked me up was surprised I had only a briefcase with me, so I told him the tale. By the time I got to the hotel, they knew and had...

I think I found a new favorite place for business travel. Was in HK for work and a conference. Fortunately the hotel where the conference is being held was heavily booked and I had to look elsewhere. I remembered MO and its relative vicinity to the conference venue as I had a business meeting there the last time I was...

7 star hotel, absolutely excellent in every way. Great staff, service and food. They attend to your every need. Rooms are great, restaurants and cuisine are delicious. Location is perfect for business and some local sight seeing. Would definitely stay here again and I have some great memories here.

We went for half business half leisure trip. Due to the recent protest, there was quite bad traffic in front of the hotel. Luckily, this hotel is right outside a MTR exit so taking public train was perfect! Very good location for shopping too! The housekeeping staff is excellent as they take care not to clear away what is leftover...

We arrived late and wanted to go for a swim. The pool closed at 10pm and it was 10:15. They would not open the pool. The locker room closed at 11:00 and better rush in. This is a not a good sign of a 5 star hotel catering to its guests. The Peninsula pool is open 24/7 but we opted...

The Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Hong Kong is conveniently located in the Central district. The facility is excellent with fantastic restaurants, bars, health club, spa and pool. The rooms are very comfortable and quiet. But what really separates this hotel from its competitors is the top to bottom gracious attitude and impeccable service of its staff. We felt more like...

We decided to end a holiday in Hong Kong with a stay at the Mandarin Oriental for 3 nights and found a package that included a suite at a good price. From the time we were met at the aircraft gate to the time we were dropped at the check in at the airport on the way home, we couldn't...

Staying in Central

Neighbourhood Profile
Central
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
